Sunday Morning became my favorite show after I started watching it as a child with my Dad, because of Charles Osgood & Charles Kuralt before him. Rest in peace, I will miss you.
Back row, 4th from the left in the Army Chorus is Ara Berberian, who went on to become a leading bass at the Met for years but always remained a good old regular guy just like his old buddy Charlie.
I l❤ve watching Sunday Morning on CBS with Charlie Osgood! It's so soothing to go through the show with Mr. Osgood's piano playing and hosting and singing voice.
Thank you, Mr. Osgood, for sharing your many talents and demonstrating a life well lived. ☀️ Thank you CBS for continuing to highlight and share the many shining moments of Mr. Charles Osgood.
For all you Amateur Radio Hams out there - on one of the 2M repeaters called "The Northeast Connect" had a station ID with a Recorded ID by Charlie who would come on once or twice an hour and say "From high upon Schnemunck Mountain, this is Charles Osgood, with the WB2BQW Repeater system. A Positive repeater with a 600 kilohertz offset, whatever that means." This was in the early 90's. It was always so cool to hear his recorded voice IDs on the repeater links! 73 Charlie DE N2ROF. If anyone has a tape of the ID please put up!
They don't make them anymore like the great postive person. He will be dearly missed. God Bless him. R I.P. our Great American hero.

Great he did a profile on Father of Rock N Roll Chuck Berry. Danced onstage with him and went to his memorial. Diverse love of American music indeed!
So love this gentle, brilliant journalist, musician..RIP Charlie ❤
