IU has such a beautiful, classy, high taste in music, I've noticed that she has this 'jazz' influences, which makes her music much more richer & melodic, compared to the typical/usual other "k-pop" artists out there. this is what imho sets her apart & very different/unique than all others.
Pardon my musical ignorance, but I can't help but think that this song definitely has a "jazzy" feel to it. There are definitely several "weird/jazzy" passing chords throughout the song (I just don't know what those are specifically). Anyway, that's just my opinion. Peace.
