      The problem with nascar creators are is by and large they are not entertaining. Radman is terrible at actual series content and Mcruz is just a bumbling fool, who deletes comments even remotely criticizing his commentary. Gowen is amazing but his series dramatizes everything. "He ran into me" you purposely forced yourself into him... The only decent creator was Windvow but he releases a video every 2-3 months

    The biggest problem with NASCAR 2011-2015 for me was how all the AI cars where the same speed. It’s baffles my mind how they could never figure out how to make any speed difference from the the front runners to the back markers for 5 years.

    Speaking as someone who bought NASCAR 15 on the 360 for their own birthday, it was fun, I loved recreating random paint schemes from the current season or the past as my Career Mode paints. It started my road into becoming a NR2003 painter.
    The only downsides of the paint booth is how crispy logos would look compared to the official models, and the Toyota template didn't have the black grill, which was a pain to setup back in the day.

    To me this is the best NASCAR game ever made. From the physics to the racing is absolutely incredible. There are some bugs such as wall glitches, AI randomly checking up, etc. But once you get into a rhythm and understand when and where the AI check up, you’ll have a much better racing experience.

    For me, NASCAR Inside Line, 14 and 15 had the best paint booths out of all NASCAR games. You had so much freedom and creativity. You could put decals anywhere you wanted on the cars body. You could even create your own logos/decals. The paint booth is where I put so much effort. Another thing I loved about the 2012, 2014 and 2015 games was the ability to have daytime races at Charlotte, Darlington, Kentucky, and Richmond in quick race mode. And NASCAR 15 even kept the Atlanta night race as an option in quick race mode.
    NASCAR games need a paint booth similar to Inside Line/14/15. Where it's just so free and open. Where a player's creativity can really flourish. Granted I did some of the most basic throwbacks. But some other players really had some creative designs.

    Another aspect of NASCAR gaming that many people overlook is NASCAR's presence in both Gran Turismo 5 & 6 which both came out around the same time of the Eutechnyx games. Even though both games only had a small number of drivers/cars & only had Daytona & Indy when it came to tracks, they should be considered important in introducing NASCAR to a much broader audience especially outside of North America. Heck in GT5, Jeff Gordon has a role in the license tests where he introduces the sport to the player & one of the requirements to get the International B license is to then pass 3 cars at Daytona in one lap using the techniques he taught you. When it comes to GT6 ,there is an entire championship in the International A category called the Gran Turismo NASCAR Cup which had 5 races (Daytona, Indy, Motegi Oval, High Speed Ring & Willow Springs). The only bad things about NASCAR's presence in Gran Turismo is the limited number of drivers/cars, a unrealistic damage model (which applied to the entire game in both GT5 & GT6) & the fact that in order to participate in the Gran Turismo NASCAR Cup in GT6, you have to use restrictor plates at every track even at Indy where they weren't used in real life.

  • @TheeVector751
    @TheeVector751 6 месяцев назад +1

    NASCAR 15 is probably my most played NASCAR game after 07. I love the racing at Auto Club and Chicagoland. Setups for restrictor plates if you did them were always weird because you’d have this really weird looking car and if you hit the dip on the turns the car would just crash. I also just miss being able to see what caused the caution compared to the new games. I feel like the newer games through phantom cautions unless you’re willing to sit through an hour replay to see what exactly caused certain cautions.

    I picked this game up for the 360 a few years ago when I couldn't afford a more modern game. I bought a wireless wheel controller from eBay, and honestly, I had so much fun playing it. The driving wasn't perfect, but it was actually pretty damn good with the wireless wheel. The AI was pretty solid, and could give you some good competition. The whack qualifying rules from the time kind of suck, but that's not their fault. For what it was, I give it a solid 6/10, monumental for a NASCAR game of that era

  • @elaknessery
    @elaknessery 6 месяцев назад +1

    I bought it, was excited, played it for a little while, then it became the first game I ever traded in to GameStop. It was alright but I literally went "I can just play Thundere 2003 or 2005 CFTC again." One thing I remember from it was how I made a few custom paint schemes and then when I tried to use them online, I'd get kicked from the lobbies. When I finally joined in a normal car, I asked and the dudes in the lobby said custom liveries made lobbies lag

    What allows NASCAR 15 to remain somewhat relevant, is its online player base. There are still communities dedicated to the game to this very day on PC. I know this because I've owned the biggest Discord server dedicated to NASCAR 15 since around 2018 and we recently reached 500 members. The game is a buggy mess and broken on so many levels, but the game is simple, the graphics are solid, and the driving model is great.

  • @SchlueterMan
    @SchlueterMan 6 месяцев назад +1

    Had '15 Victory Edition since launch and it's the definition of a love hate relationship. The paint booth is awesome, the racing can be great as well. The thing is the bugs/glitches made the game literally unplayable, I've had to RESTART MY CAREER on a handful of occasions now to fix races and qualifying being soft-locked.. The racing was extremely track dependent, too, but that I can live with.
    It's an amazing game if you spend the sub $5 price tag you get during steam sales. Wouldn't recommend unless you do that.

    You know how crazy it is that if iRacing put their interns onto it, they could compile a modern NASCAR game for all platforms and release it, like, this afternoon? iRacing already has the cars, the tracks, the physics, the multiplayer and the AI. All it needs to do is make sure every track has signage that matches current-day tracks, and trawl Trading Paints for the schemes.
    So think about the already built high quality content it has available right now, and then think about how iRacing is giving all of these assets to Monster Games, who has a track record of making good quality games, and giving it the time and budget it needs to make a NASCAR game for 2025 that will be absolutely stellar.
    The future is in good hands.

    The only things I dont about it is lack of tracks especially Xfinity only tracks and it has a glitch where usually at the start of a race and occasionally on restarts a car will just randomly stop, often in the racing line, and the AI cars won't even crash into it and drive around it! But if you crash into it the car doesn't even get moved after the caution!

    My premise has always been that if it's a racing game, physics and AI determine the actual playability of the game. If either are really lacking, the game just gets annoying.
    Eutechnyx saga at no point had AI better than like 5/10, meanwhile the physics are just 10/10. So at that point it doesn't really matter how good the car drives, why are they going 4 and 5 wide at Martinsville or crashing onto pit road?
