    My Go-To from day one? I’m so glad you got one..
    I told you it’s a beast and very loud. Works insane with all modelers.. Bought it first day..

    Hi Jonny, nice bit of kit. I have had a few power amps over the years (including a Marshall 9200) but if I was still playing live I think I would be seriously looking at this. It certainly weighs less than the old glass-fronted Marshall. Lol. Cheers 🍻

      Yeah it weighs nothing 😎. Sounds crystal clear with a modeller

    I own a Quilter 101 Mini which has the same basic control layout, and I use it in 4 cable method with my HX Stomp. Not quite enough power in that unit to gig it, but for home use it's fine. The Limiter is in my opinion one of the best controls of the unit. It won't replace a good compressor, but I don't think that was Pat Quilter's intention. I think of it as a 'Feel' knob, as it can quite drastically change how the amp feels and responds to playing dynamics. If you want your amp to have a bit more 'squish' just run the gain slightly higher but also turn up the limiter. The tone will be the same but the feel will be different.

    I was thinking of that as an option to replace my Marshall Valvestate power amp, especially after I saw Kurt from Converge use that to drive some stage cabs while getting all the tones from the Helix. One thing I was wondering, thinking of the Converge setup, if you use the FX loop to bypass the EQ section does it still require the Return to have a dummy jack in it to work? Older Quilter models didn't seem to activate the loop if both Send/Return inputs weren't plugged

    Thanks for the demo, Jonny. It looks very interesting. I use 2x Powercab 112+, for live use. How would you compare the Quilter to those? Cheers!

      Powercab is great , obviously because we get to change cabs etc . But the abilities the quilter has is the amount of options for use , For me I’m retiring the powercab and using the 2 Blackstar cabs for small gigs and use the Line 6 4x12 for bigger stages.

    I was looking at one of these ages ago. So with the helix the quilter and the cab how do you feel it represents having a bog standard amp behind ya?

      There’s better routing options , the quilter on its own is brilliant! . For me the cab / amp feel is amazing with my 4x12 cab .

    Hi matey, does that beast have stereo capabilities so that the signal from a Helix or whatever you have is not restricted to mono out? Setup is sounding gorgeous though pal. Take care Jonny.

      Yes mate it has an effects loop etc . I run 2 cabs thru it .

    Does anyone know how it stacks up against a Seymour Duncan Powerstshe 200? Is it loud enough to gig with?
    And does it support stereo in/out? Can't see it...

      It’s 200 watts it’s definitely loud enough to gig with , you can 4 cable it as an amp for stereo.

    Hey man I’m running my kemper stage into the 202 in FRFR mode into a block dock 12. Would it be best to disable the cabinet on my kemper stage? When you use yours with the helix into the blackstar cabs, are you disabling the cab modeler on the helix? Thanks man

    • @JonnyLeeguitarist
      @JonnyLeeguitarist  6 месяцев назад +1

      Not if I’m running FRFR . If I’m using 4cm then I’ll disable the cab .
