I'm astounded by the Animatronic work Disney has done for this attraction. If Walt were here and he saw how much work his Imagineers put into this, he'd be proud of them. Seriously, they look lifelike!

@@Seth_yt17 Hey Seth! I’m so glad you enjoy the ride! It was a ton of work but definitely glad to have been part of it! I was the lead sculptor on this for both the physical and digital work at Imagineering. I worked on all of the dwarves as well as most of the props and scenery too! There was a whole team of us working on it, it was a huge project for sure!😄👍

Disney has done it again, this pure Disney Imagineering at it's finest work with the modern technology they incorporated into the ride. I think personally Panda, this ride is deff up to par like Radiator Springs Racers in Disney's California Adventure because the detail, animatronics and sounds, sound definitely amazing!! So happy to see this as the last addition for the new Fantasyland
Yes, the sound was definitely fantastic from inside the Mine - also - when you go up the first lift, you can HEAR the dwarfs inside - check out the video again to hear that
Maybe Disney fans from Florida may not have noticed, but I it never ceases to amaze me how they managed to make the ride end the exact same way Snow White's Scary Adventures begins (at least California and Paris versions begin that way, the MK version used to begin differently, if I'm not wrong) What a brilliant idea! This ride is simply wonderful, can't wait to ride it in person!

The animatronics on this are amazing...in fact,the animatronics in just about every Disney attraction created in the last ten years have been so incredible,it almost makes me wish they'd gut Pirates and the Mansion and put in all new figures.

Mansion already uses a similar projection effect on Madame Leota, the five singing busts, and Constance the Bride.

Yep! The faces, let's use the singing busts for example, are projected onto a blank bust that is sculpted with the basic shape of a face but no real feature. The animatronics here are fantastic, some of the best use of this effect ever. And the Witch animatronic at the end is also fantastic in terms of the more "traditional" animatronics
The Jack figure at the end is especially impressive
MrMrMrprofessor It's a similar effect with the faces except that the projections are coming from inside
From a Disney passholder. This is not your typical coster thrill ride. It moves just fast enough to be exciting but not uncomfortable and jarring at all. IMO the swaying cars go almost un-noticed. The character effects are second to none, which is to be expected from todays Disney artists and designers (A+++). Adults will appreciate and children will love it.

The style of the dwarves faces are interesting like a mix between something that is projected and traditional animatronic. Really cool.

This was a great beginners roller coaster! And the wait was actually engaging! Very family friendly, if your going to Disney then absolutely go on this!

We had a terrible experience. One of the dwarves, I think it was grumpy, got all wacked out on honey bee moonshine and threw a log across the tracks. He then began dismembering us with a very cute little axe. By the time we escaped I had lost a finger and my brother an eye. I mean I really love their films but he came up a bit short that day if you ask me...

I went on this ride a few days ago much to my surprise, i would compare it to the Thunder mountain railroad ride.. I am not a coaster fanatic so i felt the G force of the ride.. It's a cute ride i did enjoy it despite my back..worth it!

I'm sorry but nothing beats that damn scare of the wicked witch turning around from the mirror on the original ride and you getting the shock of your life when you first rode it.
I think you might be recalling the ride with a better memory than what it was - not sure but could be - I definitely prefer the mine train and the audio animatronics there to the cardboard type ones

Wow! Your Camera does Great in there! Unfortunately, My GoPro does terribly in low light situations, so I was unable to capture the inside of the mines as well as you did! Great to see! That was definitely a fun ride!

3:30 Possessed Deer! I was really afraid that the lighted faces of the dwarves would make them look out of place but now I see that they have ample lighting to make it all meld together.

That's gotta be the smartest use of a queue that I've ever seen on a ride. Keep the kids occupied so they don't get fussy. Probably an unruly kid is the worst part of waiting in Disney queue lines otherwise.
Years later they finally wised up and added things to keep you occupied while standing in line. Wish they had done this years ago when I was in all of these park lines...

THIS is what Disney needs to do in order to progress and move forward. The animatronics are incredible! How can you even fathom going on The Jungle Cruise or even Peter Pan or Winnie The Pooh after going on this?? Fantastic video. I can't wait to ride this.
Maybe those will get updates one day but they are still loved dearly by many many fans
It's going to be tougher and tougher for Disney to keep pace with Universal if they don't start updating the rides to be more reflective of today's technology (there are numerous attractions at Epcot that could use similar overhauls, as well). I'm still a Disney fan from childhood, but seeing this ride makes me think about just how much more incredible the parks could be.

Just finished watching the video, quite legit. The audio animatronics are amazing! Are their eyes and mouths like screens or something? Whatever effect they used makes it look really amazing!

What camera did you use for this? It changes from light to dark so well!
The ride just ends. Feels like the journey wasn't finished. Great ride and effects, but the end, really? What happens... next? There needs to be a big finish. You can't really see into the house, there is too much reflection in the day time, however, it works great at night. If they had one more section, a dark component, and big finish where Snow White overcomes evil, it would have worked better. Are you not allowed to show the ending or something? Has Disney made everyone sign waivers to not post the big ending? Maybe that's it? Bring this ride to Disneyland Anaheim !!

I LOVE all the theming. It looks like they paid attention to every little detail. The only question I have is: I'm a larger guy (300lbs). Will I have any trouble fitting in the mine train cars?
You should not John - you may need your own seat and possibly move one leg over and use both lap bars - that is what I did and THAT was comfy then

disneywannabe It isn't - but I am quite wide and fit albeit not very comfortable. Certainly better than most Universal Rides - all depends upon how you are shaped.
+disneywannabe my friend worked at this attraction, had to turn down plus size upon entering the vehicle a lot. He hated having to do it because they would yell at him but truth is it's their own fault if they can't fit in a ride vehicle. (with the occasional exception of larger heath isssues) But still disney isn't responsible for that issue, ya know?
