- I'm sharing 8 unique things, which are different than the "regular" tips that we hear about all the time. And they're from the standpoint of someone who's *NOT ALREADY THIN* and actually uses these and can promise you that they work for me! I am midsize, curvy, size 14, and confident! Also I have to say; you're perspective on content, angles, editing, etc. is so refreshing. To date I'm subscribed to @ least 100 tubers. As of late; I've become so tired of all the posturing, hair flicking, twerking, and other things some tubers do in the vids. Please don't change Jen, finally some one gets it! You can present content quickly, effectively, humorously; without all the fluff! Analytically speaking; I speed watch lots of vids cause I just want to see what you have VS how you keep flicking your hair, and admiring yourself in the viewfinder. Thanks for the tips! They were very insightful. However i think you can pull these off cos you are more bottom heavy. Would be nice if you could share some tips for us who are more top heavy. (bigger arms, shoulders and chest) Thanks!

I appreciate that you like Walmart. I have found lots of stylish items there. AND I know it's important to be open to wearing different sizes. My daughters always tell me I wear my shirts/jackets too large, but I have fallen into that habit over the years because I have been size 14/16 FOREVER! I now can actually wear jeans size 12.....hard to adjust my thinking!

YES!!! These are awesome ideas. It's so nice to not just hear the same tips over and over. These are realistic and easily doable...not to mention, they are things I've never really though about! I am going to be binge watching your videos.
Yes this was beautiful! I have a different body type. I am 5’7” and weigh 150 but I’ve had 7 kids so areas of my body (belly) are not what I’d like them to be. So I’d love to make it appear thinner and your suggestions are stunning. I try and hide in big baggy shirts so no one can see the belly pooch and I probably now realize I look larger. You are a gift! I love you style and realism!
Your sweater advice is so spot on! I have a closet full of chunky sweaters that I loved when I was thin. I’m about the same size as you with less “vavoom”. I can’t bring myself to wear the chunky sweaters anymore. I hate to part with them. I keep thinking I’ll figure out how to style them. I really really loved them when I was thin. I appreciate all of this advice. I have been struggling to dress this new body. I’ve been stalking those lyocell shorts at Walmart. I can’t stand it when shorts creep up between my thighs. I keep going to the longer styles just to avoid that. I may have to try them out. Thanks for being the voice for the curvy women out here.
I luv luv this video! I’m really getting into embracing my curves at 70! My bra is 38f and my paint size is a 14. I don’t even know waist or hip measurements. I have recently found my high waisted jeans are becoming my favorites because I look thinner. Thank you Jen for being honest and helping me understand that a jacket doesn’t NEED to be closed and think more about the styling or « my » intent of the garment.

I’ve never thought to buy a smaller size thin sweater I just steer clear of sweaters in general unless they’re an open cardigan, great idea! Also yes to everyday shapewear!

Thank you so much for these tips. I also try to wear heels because I know that makes me look thinner as well. Also, sometimes when you wear all the same color that makes me look thinner as well. Never underestimate the power of a belt sometimes you need to go with a fat chunky one and sometimes you need to go with a thinner one depending on the outfit. Don't be afraid to use your scarves as shirts or skirt to elongate your body. Always try to roll up your sleeves 3/4.
Blazers are my best friend & they help me create that outer glass figure.
Also, try to wear colors that compliment my skin tone, hair color, and / or eyes.
Buy v-neck shirts, dresses etc to elongate your body. Don't be afraid to show off your neck and your collarbones most people have beautiful necks and collarbones. I love wearing shirts/ dresses off my shoulders it just flatters my curvy figure.

These are great tips. I'd also say, have fuller hair rather than a short, close to your head style, because then you look like a pinhead (big body, little head.)

It’s hard to believe that you are over 200 lbs; you look great, so I do appreciate your content. I think it also helps to wear makeup ( maybe not quite as much as you do. I don’t have patience for that!). I would really like to know your suggestions for comfortable shape wear.

I love every single thing about this video...FINALLY, someone who looks like me on youtube! I have been using the "purpose" idea for a long time!!! Will the jacket i want to buy be worn open or closed AND, will i try to layer it over anything bulkier than let's say, a tshirt...i also struggle with denim jackets, selecting the exact purpose will help narrow down which fit to buy...which means needing to buy multiple styles! Please keep up the AMAZING work!!!!!!
