Hmm, what did I say? You need to know the public ip to connect to your router, then the private ip when doing any port forwarding. Remember use a vpn though!
Not the best suggestions IMO. The only real way to protect yourself while accessing your homelab is conditional access, MFA, VPN tunnel, VDI over a vpn tunnel to homelab, etc.
