That riff that drops at the 3:36 mark........goddammit. That's one of the 1st ones off the album to really put me in a chokehold. That's just got that classic Meshuggah signature sway that I love. I'm seeing them again in just over a week. Haven't missed a tour since '98.
Infuriating as fuck they only played this ONE TIME. the first day of the Violent Sleep tour and then dropped it THE NEXT DAY WHICH WAS ATLANTA WHERE I LIVE :( You are a lucky bastard good sir BUT thank you SO much for recording this cos otherwise it would be lost to history!
Any idea why they only did this song once? Like why go through all the trouble of rehearsing it and Edvard writing the whole light show for it only to never perform it live every again?
@@TunnelJumper I have NO clue honestly it's at the VERY top of my fucking list to ask any of the members if I ever get the opportunity to meet them again.
Doubtful. They only played it this first night of the first US your for this album then dropped it completely and have never played it since iirc Like my area was the DAY AFTER THIS and I didn't get to hear it Zero idea why It's depressing as fuck tbh
Screwyouguysimgoinghome good point. The articulation and figures aren’t as important as the melodic direction, which he in the past changes dramatically. The second half of the solo when he goes nuts really does the studio version justice
I am actually a big fan of his improvisations, I wouldn't really call it ruining it. I would much rather hear a fresh improvised solo, then one that has been practiced over and over again.

Yep. You're a fan. It's a disease that has no cure...they are my favorite band on planet earth, not just in metal, but in music period.
holygroove2 I feel exactly the same
Yeah I've seen them play this live. That riff just consumes you.
The classic Meshuggah "push and pull" feeling
That intro riff is great. Meshuggah always manages to come up with original and interesting music, even after 30 years!

@@borzga OK? I still stand by where I said. Bring this back to the Setlist, would be nice to hear again
the solo on this is my favorite they have probably ever done. SOme bad shit.
my second fav from the album..after Clockworks..thanks for the upload
RodneyBass74 saaaaame!
Outro to this tune is sooo dreamy this album fucking rocks !!!!
D00MEDST dood the outro is fantastic. I don't know if I want to cry or not.
Right? I love that contrast they have with how utterly crushing and dissonant their music typically is.
Reminds me of Blade Runner OST. Blade Runner Blues - Vangelis in particular.
mistamontiel00 the outro to this song makes me cry
Sounds like the discovery channel
best song in a long time from anyone ^^
I wish they made a music video for that song. It would be terrific!
This song is so heavy and bouncy.
Why cut the end? That contrast is the best
SICK
Didn't think they would play this live, super good to see this. I want to see Monstrocity and Into Decay live, but I doubt I will see that.
I would KILL for Monstrocity
Ill be screwed if ill ever hear stifled live

@@Zyborggian oh man , really depressing
They didn't play this in Philly! I so wish they did!!!!
Yes!!!
They named this track based on the effect Meshuggah has on my soul
I missed them in Chicago because i wasnt on top of this new album. they were here like a week after it came out. FML..
this song should be called 'meshuggah discovers harmony, and it is good' cuz the ending..
Straws pulled at random? just to name one example.
Meshuggah - Trebbled
HOLY FUCK
GOAT
dedicated to world leaders and god
FINALLY! Fred stopped ruining his own solos live! YES!

it's a true test of true musicianship. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn't.
ruclips.net/video/obcDrjPblxs/видео.html such as this gem.
This time he didn't get much involved in the recording and writting process. Which gave him time to memorize them solos.
