Con motivo del estreno de 'Élite' en Netflix entrevistamos a tres de sus protagonistas: Mina el Hammani (Nadia), Miguel Bernardeau (Guzmán) y Danna Paola (Lu).

Danna: You can completely tell
Miguel: I don't play anymore
Danna: She.. For me..for Lu..eh..in reality I have lost the game when she notices that her guy is falling for the girl. That her game in the end has gone wrong. It is also when she starts having these sincere feelings towards…. Defending what she feels, being strong, trying to hide it, but she ends up destroying herself. And she fall towards reality, a cruel reality.
Mina: Man, for Nadia it’s not.. It does not start as a game because she is not looking to play with Guzman. On the contrary, I think that when Nadia meets Guzman she starts to be...she begins to have a little bit of fear.. A little..a lot of fear. The fact that she begins to feel attracted towards that person.. Going home and questioning what's happening because coming from where she is from...at the end..it's very complicated wanting to be with a person that is not from the same religion or same culture. So for her it has never been a game. Everything comes new to her and she takes it how she can.
Question: What was it that attracted you to your characters?
D: well I think the attraction was love at first sight, I would say
Miguel: “laughs” I love that
D:It is super lovely. As soon as I read the first scene in casting I said I loved it. I want.. I want this character
Miguel: It was the same for you,no? (to mina)
Mina: Yes
Danna: The real characters you do not choose and this time they choose us. Something special has happened to all of us in the way that we have come to Elite and I love it.
Miguel: This Woman (on Danna) she likes it.. The character choose her…she loves it
Danna: I love it. I go in with everything
Miguel: The casting got to her through spam.. Imagine that.. “ Look at this, a casting..holy fuck”
Danna: Seriously.. it's not a joke
Mina: And everyone else was ..“laughs”
Miguel: Everyone else here ..ahhh.. Elite

Danna: Well that is why I say it has been something special for me

Miguel: Especially the archetypes. How the characters…I have never seen such a beautiful strategy of leaving archetypes. I mean, normally it is archetypes or...in a lot of series it's archetypes,archetypes,archetypes,archetypes or beautiful things and then your at a bad point again. In this series I really like the game of leaving the archetypes. We have archetypes but you will see how we leave them and that is cool. With things that are very real. With a mature look towards the youth. That is going to give…that will give a lot of satisfaction to the young viewers but also reach older viewers. How the topics are treated with such rawness. No?
