Interview with Karl Sanders (vocalist, guitarist from US Brutal Death Metal band NILE) in Tokyo for metalship.org .
Nile, unavoidable band of the US brutal death scene, gets by Japan for a tour of 3 dates to defend their last album At the Gate of Sethu.
As Nile celebrates their 20th anniversary this year, Metalship meets Karl Sanders, vocalist guitar hero, and soul of the band, to discuss about their career and milestones, the Egyptian influence, as well as their album, and recent and upcoming lives.
We also discuss about the democratization of music on Internet 2.0, leading to its devaluation and disposability.
Very insightful Karl! True fans know true quality, we value Nile & the authenticity of the quality music you have always produced.
Awesome. Great interview. Thank you for posting it. Much appreciated. Hail Nile. Solutes to Japan.

Disposable society, disposable music, devaluation of music.
I like karl a lot
Karl Sanders is a very fantastic musician for Nile. His Death Metal vocals is more dark, monstrous and a beast.
Those three facts are always in my line of thought when regarding this generation! Much respect to Karl and Nile
I was actually losing interest in Death Metal for a while because all the bands started either sounding the same, becoming wimpy, or just rushed and unoriginal. But I have gotten back into it lately because I realized it's not about "keeping up" with the new bands, it's about finding music that blows your fucking socks out the window, and don't give a shit about the others. You SHOULD listen to the same album over and over. You SHOULD listen to the bands that earned their elite reputation. Don't be fooled thinking that underground = quality. These days, it mostly = posers and carelessness. Hard working bands like Nile earned their success and their music is indeed better than all these new bands with super brutal copy and paste logos all having no meaning in their compositions. They just try to sound "correct" and get their balls licked for a week on facebook.
Yeah, I think he switched from his double neck guitar, to this one... Its like more easy to carry it around and stuff like that... but he plays on six string as well during show
I wish this guy would get better amps!!! He respects the old 90's sound, sure but damn the production could be amazing. He should get some custom gold Egyptian equipment that would be funny. Only he could pull it off
exactly! nile's pure musicanship is what rly drew me to the band, all metal bands really. train your ears, listen to music more than reading lyrics, stop supporting crap. nc tomorrow \m/
earth wind and fire - awesome lol
George warming up after 8:30 haha
i had no idea Donald Trump played guitar
I bet Carach Angren can compete to Exodus...?
Nile =/= Brutal Death
OMG, even the Gods must die? What1!! Are you serious? - Are you serious?----- ARE YOU SERIOUS !!!!!
