For those that dont pay. The mufflers only lost around 8-10hp across the board..The factor is that you have to have the proper sized exhaust for your power output. Super Turbo's did the worst. The flow through did the best.
It's okay, sometimes you'll find people bootlegging all the shows on here. Just search often, because one minute they're here and the next they're not.
You mean turbo style did worst. The Dynomax Super Turbo flows the best of the turbo style mufflers. I've run Thrush, Cherry Bomb and Flowtech turbo mufflers and the Dynomax always sounds better and makes more power.
Stealing comments off of Road Kill and using them on Engine Masters, as your own, is pretty low, lol. Give credit if you're gonna use someone else's funny comments...
I've had the thrush welded on my Silverado for years. Love it. It's actually outlasted my dad's trucks flow 40, and moms knock off 2 chamber, as far as rust/corrosion, etc. Totally recommend it if you want the flow sound, without the price.
The best $40 I ever spent was on Jones Performance max flow mufflers full stainless and don't neck down inside like some popular brands do. These are a straight through muffler.
I bought the thrush for my truck 02 TOYOTA tundra sr5 4x4 4.7L v8 2UZFE.... it sounds AWSOMEi had madhatters muffler in mesa weld it on for me & kick it out at a 90degree infront of the rear passenger tire behind the door side EXSiT aka side kicked EXUAST
I put the thrush welded on my 13 gmc sierra 3" it sounds pretty good. The stock muffler was the size of a suit case and couldn't hear that 5.3 at all. No noticable difference in power.
@@TheDaninator You mention drone in your videos. You need to try to cut that 90 degree bend off the end of the tailpipe. That eliminated the drone the Magnaflow made on my Suburban. I changed to Dynomax Bullets which made it a lot louder and more drone, and changing to tailpipes straight out the back helped a lot. So maybe try that on yours, pick the one that you like best, and if it drones then cut the tailpipe or use dual straight tailpipes.
I have had the thrush muffler on mild sbc for over 10 years. It has outlasted most of the exhaust pipe the shop installed. Btw the guy in the shop did say those are garbage lol outlasted most of his exhaust still to this day 😎 I would buy another or any of these products you just showed us. Thanks for the videos guys
So I have a 72 skylark stock 350 2bbl, and I'm gonna run true duals. I want the car to sound like how christine sounds like at idle or how just a stock 72 skylark 2bbl muffler single pipe but I cant find anything like it. So what muffle would sound like that?
My old boss at the shop always swore by the thrush for durability. Said he would blow up flowmasters on his almost stock 5.7 vortec. Not sure about that
I'm not a fan of the sound of some chambered mufflers. Hard to describe but I call it a "nasally que" sound. Which of these has the least of that sound?
I cut my blowmaster open and cut all the baffles out of it then closed it back up you can't really tell the difference in sound at Cruise but it's louder at idle
Mohammad Bin Bishr depends on how much money you want to spend. I would definitely do a set of aluminum 2.02 heads with roller rocker and a good intake manifold. Go with a multi EFI set up. Put a 3:73 rear gear or if you want more take off power and not worried about fast highway driving go with 4:10’s. A set of good headers and a good computer tune on a dyno and you should be set. If you have more to spend, sell the small block and get a 454 or 502 big block. I would do that instead of going into the bottom end unless you want to build a small block. But with a 5000lb SUV a big block would be sweet.
Great truck. Appreciating in value. Light/reversable performance mods i.e. cam, tune, exhaust, gearing especially would wake it right up, without significantly hurting the value. Like a rock!
I have thought about this before but given how they have been sponsored by Jegs/Summit i doubt they will show another generic online brand that is cheaper than whatever their sponsor carries. It is also the reason why they switched oils during the different stages of production due to sponsorships
Yes. All the Flowbastards are made in China now. They peaked and were on the decline and so was B&M. They both 'merged' and then were bought out by Holley I believe or one of the other 'mega' speed parts conglomerates.@@MrTheHillfolk
Bring back Engine masters to youtube!
Ivan Ivanov you’re looking at it!?
RedXray true that.
Loved to watch it.
Thought they eps were released after a while.
Quit being cheap and pay the 5 bucks
They do have quite a bit more now on RUclips.

Oy - I did pay for a long time, but someone changed the rules and I can no longer subscribe from downunder. Blame whoever banned it from Oz.
Chamber mufflers sound great and have a badass idle but u lose power compared to a striaght through non chamber exhaust like the magnaflows
The first muffler looks like ray charles welded with his feet😅lol
Looks like it had jb weld globed on and then spray painted to match.
If you are starting out with stick, MIG or TIG and this is your first job you will improve. Who ever did the welding, they will improve & move on.
That’s funny sir!

Backwards even.
The audio makes these sound the same to me, but I guess I'm not hearing what they are.

Love the penciling diagram of the internals !
if its not a straight through muffler its restricted
It's time for a Spintech vs Black Widow vs Borla.
$$$
Thank you so much and I learned so much!!!!
Please test some spin tech mufflers..they claim to add power and they do imo sound the best
Try a regular glasspack, start with a brand new and then try one that is burned out. See what the differnce is.
For the money you can't beat summit muffs.
I got a rumble on my 4.3 v6 s10 and I love it it sounded like a v8 it wasn’t loud or quiet but getting on it was smooth
how did he forget about the solid wall with the center transfer hole in the mufflers when he describes the flow direction?

Thrush gets my vote
I’ve put 4 different styled Cherry Bomb mufflers on my truck at the same time once as an experiment...you know, for science. 😂👍
I've seen your exhaust vids! Lol
corbin parvin awesome! 👍

snakesonaplane2 cool. I may just try that!
ya but u didnt true dual them
Okay, so everyone hates on Flowmaster for supposedly bad performance but these two chamber 2.5" duals supported over 540HP at over 6,000rpms.

I'm a firm believer in Thrush mufflers as well. Right on! ✌️

What was the engine without a muffler far as Sound and power?
You won't get the same results on a 350 HP street engine.
How was the torque numbers?
I used the Cheery Bomb Vortex on my Challenger 3.6 motor. Great sounding muffler. Hear it on RUclips.
Hollow skid plates! I like.
Would like to have seen the torque curve instead.
Now try high priced mufflers next
At least they showed us more of the episode this time.
Simple but fun!
Can y’all test some other style mufflers like Gibson MWA & crossflow, Black Widow venom 6”, 10”, 250, & 300
These mufflers are going on stock 300hp motors why not test them on that type of engines?
Should of seen what straight pipe did to hp
The welds are the first thing I noticed
Can't wait the turbo series!
It's not booger welding, it's PB&J welding!
I have the thrush and it sounds exactly like the flow master original 40’s. Love this muffler. Sounds the best.
Glad I chose the Rumble series muffler
The sound of chambered mufflers is just wring to me.
What did it make uncapped?????????????????????
They have something in similar…. Horribly wending lol you can see the lines
Please do a inline 6 4.0 jeep motor I want to hope mine up but there is no good info.
walker quite flow cuz no one wants to hear 4 or 6 cyl

Seat of the pants power you can’t tell ... sound yes - but that’s what most go for !
I just run open headers on my daily 77 f150
Slippery Sauce straight pipe or pure header dump?
@@dannygloversshotgun211 pure header dump
Wonder if cherry bomb makes a center inlet, and uses a V divider in that 🤔
Center inlet and offset outlet is 7411cb, it retains the same internal design
Was wondering the same thing. Couldn't find any pics online.
I run 9” cherry bomb chambered on my Daytona Coupe. 2.5” in 2/4” x 2 out.
I have the Cherry Bomb Vortex muffler on one of my trucks and it sounds awesome
Can you turbo a Holley sniper?
I cut my blowmaster open and cut all the baffles out of it then closed it back up you can't really tell the difference in sound at Cruise but it's louder at idle
Aren't almost all mufflers made of steel? I've welded on many mufflers except stainless. What else would it be made from?
No cherry bomb vortex? Wtf magazine article guy?
Do scores correlate with sequence on dyno at all
MT is back????? For how long?
I want your loudest muffler 😎

I always laugh when I see Thrush stickers on old beaters, 9/10 times it just means you got a cheap muffler from the auto parts store 🙃
Gotta have a summit sticker too
should have the ebay stainless single chamber muffler in there as a "wild card".
I have thought about this before but given how they have been sponsored by Jegs/Summit i doubt they will show another generic online brand that is cheaper than whatever their sponsor carries. It is also the reason why they switched oils during the different stages of production due to sponsorships
"No muff too tuff" 😁
Would have been ice to hear them at idle.....
Man shoot, 5 hp is like a tune up all the time.
Drop the background music
How about cheap mufflers that have large openings and tubes?
Who needs mufflers
he looks like shoenice
I run jones mufflers on all my vehicles. Great quality and sound for dirt cheap.
And American made? Right?
Watching episode 47 : (
6 months and your buying another knockoff
You should Throw in some Amazon or Ebay specials next time. They're so cheap everyone wonders if they're total trash or decent
