Meanwhile windows command prompt doesn't even support unicode
It's funny how I looked this up (emoji's in a Linux terminal emulator) after watching the announcement of Windows Terminal. That thing looks amazing.
i don't understand. Why isn't Linux more popular? It's so good! Much better than windows!
Its hard to use the average user.
Because Linux is a lot of fun to play around, but if you want an OS to get work done, be productive or you want it to be ergonomic, Windows is the best hands down.
If Linux is so great where is Linux 2? We're already up to Windows 10 because it's just so good!
@@vgamesx1 But Windows is so outdated! Ubuntu is at 18 currently and Linux Mint is at 19!
What do you mean "better", exactly? I love Linux because of the extreme customizability of it all (KDE in particular). However, the customizability comes at a cost of required technical know-how; technical know-how and lots of patience and Googling. When something is not quite right, you've got to be willing to delve into the config files or terminal and maybe spend hours trying to solve a problem. While we may be patient enough to do this as Linux users, your average consumer isn't. But on the bright side, considering how Linux forms the backbone of Android, it has an unmatched share of users in that sense.
I won't be satisfied until we get 10 different variations of this with one of them being an outdated Tux themed emoji pack, and people will still fight over which one is the best.
This is the epitome of "because I can"
You need to install `fonts-noto-color-emoji`, not just `fonts-noto`.
Next generation of commands will be a series of emojis
Please let that never happen.
You can thank Apple for introducing the language "Swift" which accepts Emojis as part of it's code (i.e. as variables)
Please no.
Look kid show the emojis on the terminal screen don't make you linux prof...
... and ya Dislike.

As a new linux user I found this very difficult to follow. A version of this for dummies would be amazing.

Almost mad I found this given the time I will unwillingly absolutely dedicate to this lol
