CONGRATS my music lovin' brother,, You LOOK GREAT!!..I can truly relate & know exactly what that feels like..At one point in time I needed to lose 60 pounds & although everyone got mad at me for doing it so fast (2 months) I was still extremely proud of myself..Little did I know that I would become disabled 14+ years ago now & unfortunately because I am unable to be active anymore,, Over time I have put on 60 pounds over my normal weight,, which also unfortunately,, the extra weight adds to my constant pain.
For someone who has a crazy sweet tooth I could do with losing a few pounds. I'm not overweight but the pounds do creep up before you know it, so I do admire your self-discipline and I congratulate you for sticking at it and achieving your desired result. Keeping a record is a great way to keep the momentum going by seeing the positive changes in black and white as well as in the looseness of the clothes, right ! Well done !!!👏
Woohoo! I'm smiling just seeing how happy you are :) I went from 215 to 175 pounds, and also lift weights, which I'll be doing tonight like all weeknights :) you can do it! You're looking great :)
Way to go Justin, now comes the hard part the discipline to sustain it ! 👍🫀 I'm going the other way now with my older age and many Orthopedic injuries with Surgeries and countless procedures over the decades from Neck , Back, Shoulders, Arm, Knee to feet Lol. 🦗🎶
Well, congrats! It would help if you told us about your diet. Unless your secret is simply working out? My girlfriend forced me to become a vegan, which I thought would make me skinny pretty soon. But while vegan food may be free of meat and dairy, it's certainly not free of sugar and fat! So we cut out the sugar. We cut out as much fast as possible. And we still gain weight. So what's your secret?
Avacado toast with walnuts, olive oil, red pepper diced, squeezed lemon or lime juice, on whole wheat toast every morning with plain yogurt and fresh fruit. That’s what I replaced my 2 eggs , 3 bacons, or sausage. Also I had yogurt every day but sweetened, now plain and no sugar and cream in coffee. I lost 17 lbs and dropped overall cholesterol by over 40 points. Small amounts of favorite cheat foods instead of large amounts help too.
Well done JP, I'm approx the same weight as you right now. Alas I've gone the other way. Have been around 184-188 for many years but have stopped going to the gym, having just moved to a new area in the last year. Am slowly getting back into doing some exercise, playing drums in a new band & other things. Seem to have halted the rise, now need to start the decline! Hopefully I can use you as inspiration to get back on track.
Well done, Justin. It's easy to get fit (well fit enough) but getting one step ahead of one's metabolism, when it starts to slip towards some dangerous state is really difficult. (I've gone approximately the opposite direction in the last three years or so. Took up running without any concern about weight something like maybe ten years ago, experienced the delights of discovering that it's possible to run for five whole minutes without getting too out of breathe to survive. And it's "easy" - or even just plain easy - but also got the injuries one tends to develop when carting a lot of weight around faster than the connective tissues are ready for. Sore back led to a concern with the stomach out front that was hurting that back, and I made a bit of progress with weight loss, too. But damn! That was hard! It remains hard. The thing that eventually worked for me was keto, but I eat with the family, and nobody is interested in cooperating with that, so after lots of opportunities and encouragements to lapse, I've fallen back on fat eating habits - and it shows. I've also not been out of doors for very long for longer than I should. Had an operation, had to slow down, lost ground, got it back. Because it's easy to get fit. If you get unfit, just get fit again. Another operation, and another setback, a slower return to at least the running, and then something that had me lying there wondering if I was going to die for a few days. COVID, I think. Haven't been the same, since.) But you know what? This doesn't have to have an unhappy ending, and it's actually wrong to let it have an unhappy ending, because I could fix things reasonably easily. Just get out there, get moving, and DON'T DO TOO MUCH. The first difficulty is getting started, but the next one is the temptation to get carried away by enthusiasm, get injured, go back to square -2, and keep getting stuck like that. At least the fitness part of this, I could fix. Must fix. So I can present evidence to whoever might come across it and benefit from it: (That just getting fit Enough is easy. Or easy enough. Make a start, and from there it just happens.) Not so sure about the weight, though. I suppose I could try the hard way of losing weight along with that (since overweight is associated with all sorts of horrible conditions). I might not get the weight under control again, but at least I could get fitter, live longer and better, and be happier. Sounds like a great idea. Thanks for the nudge in that direction.
LUL A mirror! (several boring stories attached to that) Now all you got to do is lose the ugly! LUL (He says to a guy who is more handsome than I am.) Honestly, my fighting weight was 40lbs ago. I am tired of socks and boots being a morning challenge. Good on you Justin. :D
At my highest I was 104.6 kg and I have lost 11 kg since last autumn. I still have 20 kg to go. It's going to be a bitch, although I didn't set a timetable for myself.
Excellent and congratulations! It's taken me that same length of time just to get from 205 to my current 195, so I can really appreciate your struggle.
Congratulations Justin! Glad to hear your hard work has paid off. Thanks for making the video, which I'm sure will inspire some other folks who are working toward their own goals to persevere.
Very nice, my friend! A couple months ago a fellow worshiper sat next to me at church and said, "Hey, man, you're lookin' good! What kind of diet are you on?" I leaned in and whispered, "I'm on the cancer diet." "Oh." "Yeah, I lost seventy pounds in two months. It works fast, but I don't recommend it." "No." You look good, Justin! And even though it's going slowly, I bet it feels good. A lot better than some of the alternatives... Carry on, JP!
CONGRATULATIONS! Justin! I know how difficult and slow it is. I’m on a similar journey. I have always had weight issues. I’ve been through OA in the 80’s (I knew what Anorexia was when Karen died) I tried again at the turn of the century with WW. Had a bypass in 2016, lost and gained. In lockdown I was up again to 276. I noticed my roomie was seemingly, thinner. I asked and yes he had lost weight. That was it. I could get the crap out of the apartment and get serious. I am now -85# at 189 give or take. I want 160ish but it’s been slow but the arrow is pointing down and up and down. The overall is down. So good for you I saw the arrow going up and down but overall down for you and that is what matters. Keep up the great work and you’re lookin’ good and be healthy. I’m 5’9” (was 5’11” younger) so I think my general goal is the correct one. You made my day. Good news always does! For you and your wife, keep up the great work! Joe
@@JustJP hell yeah! I’m very determined as I’m older (68) and it’s my last chance at success. I know, not think, I got this. I got very proud of you seeing this video. It made my heart all warm and fuzzy. I know what you’re going through and you are not alone. We all have a story and sharing in a venue like this is great. Keep it up as you tone in. I need to get more exercise as I got the weight close enough. Yay for both of us and all who shared. Joe

If you want to try another of Metallica's cover, I would highly suggest Master of Puppets covered by Andre Antunes... You would be highly surprised!
Well done! I recently heard a useful rule of thumb, which goes like this: "Eat half, walk double, laugh triple, and love without limit."
Thats a good one🤗
Well done JP! I've done weight targets a number of times. The hardest thing is keeping the weight from coming back.

200 kg? I think not. What is your unit of weight?
Pounds, of course. Divide by two then subtract 10 % from the result to get kilograms. So 246 lbs would be 123-12.3=110.7 kg, roughly.
big ups justin
