hey that’s my river! good to see you make it down here and manage to not get dunked on by the rain. you obviously did your weather forecasting because there’s been very few days as nice as this one lately. cheers!
Very nice outing, thanks for going over your gear! Here in the States we have the Icast trade show coming up in July. Hopefully some exciting releases. Glad you and your mates had a busy outing!
@@fishingmad I've never hit it up on a yak, I'm new to yak fishing. Now I know where to try. I've heard about that pump house or whatever it is before. Thanks for the info
Thanks, I rig them generally on HWS jig heads which gives awesome presentation. Then take your time and rig them straight for optimal swimming action. There are some vids on the channel on how to rig soft plastics
Good bream here still with salmon avg 380mm all in guts of river system on gravel banks silvers or yellow FIN bream pikers bigger 400 plus but lower numbers not as thick as the silvers.
Yeah we caught countless salmon and smaller bay trout. Looking forward to coming back soon and exploring more upriver and getting stuck into a few more bream.
@@fishingmad sweet. Back in 2003 grain Co had a spill on wharf Milo as in grain 4 ton well ya should of seen silver and pikey bream thousands had a field day the gut of the fish were packed even bream up in narrows were packed that is a good 70km from wharf.
Thanks !! No I wasn't really using scents at all. Once we moved up river the bream were on. When its super slow i will generally bring out some s-factor, procure, aqua-x something along those lines, but really didint need to for this trip.
With the kayak being on a trailer and all accessories costing upwards and up of the purchase of a fishing tinny plus gear why do you guys fish out of the kayaks what’s the tip
Yeah Kayaks 100% are becoming more expensive. Us guys shopped around to find the yaks at a good prices. The RRP price on new Hobie PAs are pretty insane these days but the use of marketplace and the likes you can get lucky and find some great deals. Kayaks are so good in systems like this, being able to fish the shallow flats and right along the edges is really easy on a kayak. Plus your running costs are so little after you buy the yaks and some accessories. For us mainly though its the adventures and being able to share that with good friends who alo have yaks. So big pros and cons for both.
@@fishingmad fair enough I was looking at one for quite a while but I was well into 4500 to 5k range once fitted out I can understand the registration factor on the boat as well as boat licence fees but then realising if I bought a fishing tinny I could take the family out it was the pick for me
All G. That's what's great about fishing every one can choose the style that suits them. And taking your family out fishing is awesome !! Most of us got our Yak for about 50% of RRP price and the running costs are pretty much zero, no rego, licence fees, servicing etc. So very low maintenance. Its also an awesome feeling catching good fish on the yak, being lower to the water level and getting plenty of exercise.
@@fishingmadyeah honestly rego is a pain with 2 cars a ski boat a road bike an then the tinny rego sucks ! 50 percent wow that’s amazing at that price yeah that would definitely make it worth while to go solo !
Hey fishingmad, I love fishing❤
Left old mate hanging at the start there 😂 nice work fellas
LOL I know I felt bad watching it. His a great mate of mine. I did 2 other high 5s to him through out the vid so hopefully I redeemed myself.
@@fishingmad hahahaha love your work mate
Thanks !! Much appreciated.

We were very lucky, it poured the day before we drove up there. That's why the mouth was flowing so fast

Hey love the vid! Can you please tell me How do you rig your slim swimz 😁

I was fishing there today
Awesome, how did you go. Its a great spot

Thoughts on the 23 Airity??
Amazing. I think they got a few things wrong with the Luvias LT and Airity 21. The 23 isnt perfect but gee its nice. Light weight and amazing drag.
Do you find fishing slows down in cold weather
Yep 100% last few weeks has been pretty tough, especially in the bay
Does it matter if it is high tide or low tide iver there?
I can tell the driving footage is not in order :P you went over the Hopkins nests Alansford and then you were out of town :)
Great pickup, sometimes we shuffle things around to make the production flow a bit better.
@@fishingmad all good :) I would do that myself
I'll predict no flathead. I've never caught one there. Bream, EP, Mulloway, Trev, Mullet and Salmon.
Yep spot on !!
Good tip chook pellets hand full soaked in tuna oil there like dog's.
Great tip! Thank You !!
🙋♂️
It says there is no views again 😅
I think your the first again, Well done !! Enjoy the episode
It your yack needs a trailer.
You may as well tow a boat
