Yeah, we sat next to Belinda on the plane, she was a lovely person and she did show us the pic of your trophy-winning fish so a big well done. Yeah, I was hoping to cover a lot of land-based stuff to start snapper season, but had so much travel for the show so hope to go back and cover some episodes around there early in the new year, maybe when the water temp drops and the snapper comes back on.
That first fish woulda been MASSIVE…. three was no stopping that drag, it was screaming. Awesome work Allen! This spot looks sensational for fishing, too bad that when I’m older it might be closed 😢. Keep up the bloody sensational work! Tight lines bro! 🎣🤙🎣🤙🎣🤷♂️
Yeah it took off like a rocket and just ran strong with no head shakes, I was just holding on for deal life LOL. Yeah all the locals said there about to close it but dont worry there are heaps of other good spots and islands there. ill prob go back and fish arid islands and a few spots along the barrier reef.

Mate, epic video and so glafmd you could put a trip like that together. I'm about 15 minutes in, and gotta make the comments. 1. Tighten the drag, lost that first big one in the rocks as he took what line he wanted. 2. NEVER put lures/hooks ON the eye guide, rubs the guide, cuts and causes line fray. Use the eye-guide arms to secure. Seems silly, but these things matter in the end. Tight lines!

How much drag were you running on the 1st fish that smoked you ? Sounded like a Twinpower SW reel ?
Yeah drag was pretty tight and I tightened it several times whilst the fish was on. It's a Twin Power SW which has a very loud drag
