Thank you enormously for this very constructive and logical introduction to ethics. I am into my final year of my degree in business management and I'm about to book onto my business ethics and sustainability unit. Prior to start my unit, I really appreciate watching this video but I have learnt a lot from you.
This claims to present an objective account of ethics and it's anything but objective. Ethics isn't some homogeneous discipline. It's all objective? Huh? And it's not about character? Tell that to virtue ethicists. This guy is not qualified to teach this class.
Thank you Dr. Hooker for your lesson. Taking ethics online this summer and this helps a lot!

Awesome lecture....
Thankyou sir ❤😊
Thank you
Like, dude, you quote Mengzi about empathy and then say only in the West is there a tradition of rational inquiry concerning ethics. Wtf.
I did not hear him say, and I did not see on any of his slides, "only in the West."
