It's not a proper classroom unless there's someone constantly coughing. It's practically a law. Someone MUST be coughing in every class otherwise the universe would fall apart lmao
Someone coughing is actually polite compared to most classes I was in. Had a lot of foreign exchange students that thought classroom time = talk loudly to your group of friends. Some profs were too polite to tell them to STFU, so I'd speak up and ask them to quiet down, because I'm not paying money to hear them speak; I'm paying to hear the professor speak.
It’s not rocket science mate. The thing about calculus is that it’s the way the proofs are written and the variables that are used that makes it unreadable and look hard to someone who isn’t well versed in mathematics.
You are right, this is very easy math (with the right guidance)... but i would never start with freaking differential equations with some kids that just got out of high school. I would teach them first what a derivative is, a function, continuity, etc and then start with the harder stuff. Courses like these are sadly too unorganized and thry never learn stuff like "stability, existence and uniqueness, linearizations, ..."
@BladeCast because you are maybe seeing these things for the first time. It really is not hard. Not at all. One just has to invest the time to learn it. But this is the math, thanks to which we have our modern world.

Bro you really never took calculus in highschool? this is basically high school senior calculus level stuff tbh. It might be a little advanced because its a university-level class but other than that it ain't that bad.
Carmichael Johnson most people don't take calculus in high school. I could've taken precalculus in high school, but I was on a completely different path at the time. Majoring in engineering now so I obviously needed it. Calculus wasn't that bad, but I had a terrible professor for it. Still managed to get an A.
If you actually study it, if you solve some ODEs, derivate some functions, and take the time to learn all of this, you'll see it is easy. Whrn he said "the easiest course" he didn't mean "you'll get everything right away" but "you won't spend as much hours studying as with other courses"

That's how most classes are to be fair, the lecturers for the most part (especially in first year) always try to make it fun but the class is never very respondent.
This class is absolutely impractical, offering no solutions to market needs or real-world problems. Despite being unnecessarily difficult, it also forces students into debt. I wouldn’t pay a dime for it.
Ignorance is bliss. It you don't want to study mathematics, you just don't its a college/highschool course after all and you have a choice. But know that we would not have most industries, technology and other advancements depend greatly on calculus directly or indirectly.
@@nothing0x4D2 You're probably a college student, so I get it-universities push the idea that you need these advanced math skills. I'm not dismissing math entirely, but learning this level and going into debt for it? Not worth it. Computers can already handle most calculations more accurately than we can. I'd rather spend time learning skills that can't be automated. Basic math isn’t changing anytime soon, and we’re not reinventing the wheel here-especially with tech to back us up. Once you're in the job market, you'll see what I mean.
@@ejy-u1x That is a bit more understandable. I interpreted your comment a bit differently. Though I am not defending mathematics because of the influence of a university or institution. Ghostly 00 Dude that’s shit is so irritating!! I can barely focus on the video with all that damn coughing!!
Damn, theyre just trying to live man 😂
I'm the cougher of classes (and on the mic when playing Xbox). I feel bad and everyone thinks im dying.
This is true as fuck.
The most incomprehensible thing in this video is that this lecture might be a bit too easy for someone.
It’s not rocket science mate. The thing about calculus is that it’s the way the proofs are written and the variables that are used that makes it unreadable and look hard to someone who isn’t well versed in mathematics.
I need to see that someone
This is easy math lol
You are right, this is very easy math (with the right guidance)... but i would never start with freaking differential equations with some kids that just got out of high school.
I would teach them first what a derivative is, a function, continuity, etc and then start with the harder stuff. Courses like these are sadly too unorganized and thry never learn stuff like "stability, existence and uniqueness, linearizations, ..."
@BladeCast because you are maybe seeing these things for the first time. It really is not hard. Not at all. One just has to invest the time to learn it. But this is the math, thanks to which we have our modern world.
I’m starting my calculus paper as part of my bachelor of science mathematics degree at a university here in New Zealand tomorrow and this video has been an absolute blessing for me. Thank you very much for sharing this with the internet.

I am interested in Physics, and discovering studying calculus as a tool in physics is why I am interested in it and maths in general.
