@@RengawSnave Talent refers to the natural ability that you already have since birth, example: reflexes, some people was born with good reflexes. While skill refers to ability which is aquired by practicing. So basically, marcus can't play piano when he was born. He practiced a lot so he's now able to perfect it. So there's no talent here. Only pure skills.

I’ve been playing by ear for going on 4 years and wonder the same. My mom loves to say “he can play anything by ear!” and then pressure me into translating a 9 year old’s out of tune attempt at singing a song I’ve never heard before. Like if it were “Let It Go” I could at least figure it out, but some other random disney song I’ve never heard in tune is rather impossible for me at least. And also always does it when I don’t even have a piano on hand. Expects me to do it on the garage band app lol. That’s like giving Yiheng Wang a miniature key chain rubik’s cube and expecting him to solve it in 4 seconds.
