I’m a huge fan of Vivian Howard and her PBS show. She always keeps it real and isn’t afraid to show the sometimes ugly reality of being a chef, restaurateur, wife, and mother. Great decision to add her to the CBS Sunday Morning team!

I am thrilled that Sunday Moring has added Vivian to there show. I have loved Vivian and her series A Chef's Life since it began and I also have her book, such a wonderful person to learn all about cooking and food.

I love Chef Vivian and her PBS show, I've seen every episode, and she is 100% correct about pot liquor from greens, especially turnip greens, better than any other broth you can name, period

2:18 comes off as a bit racist: "Nigerians believe the soup treats things like malaria, typhoid, and measles. Needless to say, I hope I never have to stew a pot of that."
It also sounds like a misunderstanding of probability or logic: You can make the soup to treat these diseases, but you can also make that soup for many other reasons, even if it is the most popular soup to treat those diseases.

Whites can say "Good morning" to a non - white, and somehow it'll be turned into a "racist" comment.

She is simply saying I hope no one I know gets those diseases so I don't have to make a pot for that reason that is simply what she was saying.

Alexander Ko , obviously you've never watched her PBS show A Chef's Life . She's great friends with an older black lady who is on almost every episode.

Her "culture"! Really? I beg to differ. From a real southern girl with ancestors rolling over in their grace (rolls eyes).

Forgive me Shauna but I don't understand your reply. How do you feel this is not Vivian's culture? She was born and raised in North Carolina, her entire family was born and raised there.
