Bruh on the last Vikings td you called the right coverage but you clearly do not know how cover 2 actually works…you be blaming the corner when that tuddy was 1000% the safeties fault..Aaron jones was in the back field chipping and leaking to that side of the field, the corner back is to trail JJ if he goes vertical ( which he did) then fall off to cover a flat (looks like cloud flat rather than hard flat) it’s the safeties job to cover that ENTIRE DEEP HALF not the cb..the safety didn’t get there, it’s the safeties fault

@@Hendo_3 not if he’s playing a cloud flat…if he’s playing a hard flat he bumps at the line and falls off immediately..if he’s playing some type of cloud or seam then he’s supposed to give free release at the line and use a trail technique then fall off at 10-20 yards typically, depending on the rules of their particular defense. He’s not supposed to be on the receiver, his job is to be in position to force the qb to have to make a perfect pass. Not enough touch the cb can get under it and pick it..too much and the safety over top has an easy pick..that’s what makes that throw so impressive from Darnold, he threw a very difficult pass perfectly on the run, and under pressure. The safety didn’t get wide enough or deep enough in time and that is quite literally his only job on that call.. get deep and get wide..this is undoubtedly on the safety, no one else
