I hope Malcolm writes his memoirs one day in two volumes: the first of his time as a very fast and successful driver, and the second as a very determined and successful team owner. Once Loeb suits up for the 2022 Monte Carlo, he'll have had all the modern greats drive for him (except Makinen and Burns) and is in a better position than anyone else to write about their respective strengths, weaknesses and character traits. What a double volume that would be.

in 2007 we lost a complete legend and one of our best loved and well known rally drivers of all time. Hollie lost her dad, brother and two family friends that are usually overlooked. Great to see Hollie spending time with Colins friend and boss, not to mention another legend. Malcolm Wilson. I grew up watching these every year on the RAC and British rallies along with Alister and British champion Jimmy. The whole family are rally icons and have petrol in theyre blood.

I tried to avoid all news reports or anything that might mention the rally so that I could watch it all on the BBC coverage that evening. I had to go out to a shop of some kind (I can't remember what for) and when I walked in music was playing but within moments the song ended and I realized too late that it was a radio as a news report started with saying that McRae was out. I clearly remember shouting bollocks at the top of my voice and everyone looking at me!!

Loved this era of rallying in my lifetime, such great names fighting it out. So wish the current era was broadcast now and not little highlights, unless someone can point me in the right direction here in the UK.

The prettiest Rally car IMO that early Focus. Great to see his daughter happy after the loss of her brother and dad. So sad

What a lovely Girl and I hope she goes on to do well … Old Malcolm being modest as he was a good driver also .. just not as Flamboyant as Colin was .. 👍

I’m lucky enough to have a signed picture, of Colin’s Daka car, on my office wall. It’s an absolute treasure of mine.
