Holly, your dad is a legend, the Jim Clark of rallying... I'm sure you know the scale of how influential your father is still to this day, very sadly missed my millions upon millions, his dream and legacy lives on. Great watch, thank you.
Richard Burns we share the same birthday, absolutely fantastic when it came to Wales, when Burns died I kind of fell out of love with rally, I travel to many countries to watch and be part of, when McRae died that was it for me, I've got a couple of signed race ready Subaru jackets, about 5 years ago a Down Syndrome boy about 11 was in the shop with a Subaru shirt on, come home with me I got something for you" what did you just say said him his mother", just follow me I got something for you, stay in the car if you like I will bring it to you,,, here you go mate, that smile and those tears, but one thing" don't ever wash it this signature will come off, now that was a good day....
Strangely emotional to watch Hollie speaking to Malcolm about her dad. Malcolm clearly still has a deep affection for Colin, rightly so. Lovely to see Hollie having grown into a beautiful woman that Colin would have been rightly proud of.

Wishing you , your mum & All your family the best... & equally so , you too Malcolm & All at M Sport for the coming season. Delighted that you have Craig & Seb on board... Exciting times! Much Respect to you all.
Brought a tear to my eye and some great memories come flooding back hearing Malcom talk to Hollie about her dad who I met a few times when I was a boy.
I hope Malcolm writes his memoirs one day in two volumes: the first of his time as a very fast and successful driver, and the second as a very determined and successful team owner. Once Loeb suits up for the 2022 Monte Carlo, he'll have had all the modern greats drive for him (except Makinen and Burns) and is in a better position than anyone else to write about their respective strengths, weaknesses and character traits. What a double volume that would be.
To this day I still tell people I was about 10 seats away when he collected the trophy at Chester racecourse , gone but never forgotten, as for Hollie he would be so proud of you too, best wishes to all at Ford too.
The legend is so strong today that people around the world, remembering it, continue to grieve about the loss. There are fond memories of Colin, the man who changed people and motorsport in general. He is gone but will never be forgotten. I wear a t-shirt of his memory and it reminds me and everyone of him. Respect from Ukraine! Thx...
in 2007 we lost a complete legend and one of our best loved and well known rally drivers of all time. Hollie lost her dad, brother and two family friends that are usually overlooked. Great to see Hollie spending time with Colins friend and boss, not to mention another legend. Malcolm Wilson. I grew up watching these every year on the RAC and British rallies along with Alister and British champion Jimmy. The whole family are rally icons and have petrol in theyre blood.
Great too see malcolm and hollies talking about her dad in my eyes growing up in the 80s&90s Colin was a legend and still is to this day Colin would of been proud of her.i hope she keeps her dad's legacy going.he his truly missed by millions upon millions of fans.great video.( If in dought flat out).
Saw him in Margam Park. I Was standing on the edge of a long downhill straight and he came down so clearly faster than anyone else I thought surely he can't come thro that fast.. But he did. Unbelievable will remember that forever
What a beautiful interview, I'm sure your Dad would be very proud!! and the legacy of McRae will undoubtably live on, Because there will never be another C McRae 👌🏼 Thankyou
Sure Nicky and Derek could tell a story or two, remember hearing of a story from Nicky of a gap Colin was sure he could jump, they sent Jimmy out in the recce car to give it a go. A very twisted Escort Cossie appeared not long after. Colin cleared in in the rally just
What a lovely video and wonderful tribute ! remember meeting Colin many times and he always had time to chat also met Holly and family back in Cheltenham at the RAC he would have been so proud of this interview

What a great interview, Holly is a natural, lets Malcolm talk, but still keeps the interview on track. Interesting that Malcolm talked about mechanical sympathy.. I always remember Andrew Cowan and my dad have long in depth conversations about mechanical sympathy over a wee dram.
So want to comment but just can't find the words...... Lost my dad when I was four so I know the value any story about Colin for Hollie ❤️ And the man was and is one of my heroes. He was himself completely and without reservation. A rare a beautiful quality. Would love to hear the stories Malcolm won't tell lol. Much love to the McRae family in general and Hollie in particular ❤️
Colin Mcrae is a legacy that will never be forgotten and I enjoyed watching his exploits especially in the Focus. Lovely to see Malcolm Wilson telling up the stories to Hollie - something she will remember for a long time.
Your dad was the Best Rally Driver there ever was. I seen him every year on the RAC uk and he was mint. Gone but never forgotte. Collin name will always be in rally… what a man 👍✋👊 the King…
The days of WRC when Colin was there were just stellar. Just like the days of F1 with Senna, Prost, Mansell and so on. Watching Colin was just unbelievable excitement. He made other drivers work harder if they wanted to win. Colin will always be epic legend.
I consider myself to have been blessed to meet not just Colin but also competing at the same New Zealand World round Colin's Father Jimmy McRae to have seen both of them in the one event is priceless, Good times indeed . I also saw Malcolm in Australia amazing driver in his day as was Ari, Carlos and so many others from Rallyings History like Hanu, Walter etc good times great talents and an amazing timeframe to experience
If it wasn't for Colin McRae's video games then I wouldn't be interested in this sport. Hollie, your dad has a special place in my heart for that reason! I think this year I'll go back and play some of the games of my childhood in memory of this legend!

Great interview.Colin was one of the fastest drivers out there no matter what car you put him in. I have that same replica model of that Ford Focus wrc car,in 1 1/18 scale.bought it when Colin first took it out.and it’s still in its original box like new, always reminds me of Colin when I look at it
The reason any team wanted Colin on their team is because after he'd gone by you on a stage, he's the one that everyone would be talking about, I remember being in the bowl at Sweet Lamb, McRae bouncing off everything and spectacular, Burns silky smooth, calculated, almost poetic, he was the quickest but everyone was talking about McRae.....
Colin was a legend a driver for the UK to be proud of his family also :) he also seemed a lovely decent guy got alot of his posters from the old PS1 and 2 games as well as posters from some of his rally's
