Going through similar cycles at the startup I work at and this is so helpful to see :)) Went through the "who wrote this crap? Oh wait that's me" moment quite a few times lol

I feel you. I'm in the process of refactoring code and it like... I wish I could talk about this to someone but it wouldn't be enjoyable to hear me explain why my code from a while back now looks like trash. lol

What screen recording software do you use?

At least you didn’t break anything during the refactor lol. That’s my fear, I also have to refactor a project but I’m scared to break it in the process 😅

yeah always a big fear of mine too. That's why I usually gate all the changes behind a feature flag so I can quickly toggle it on/off in case it actually does break.

Hey, I am a current second year cs student i built a few projects using next.js, react, tailwindcss, prisma, postgres. You got any advice for finding internships/grad jobs in this field. Is it worth dabbling into ML. Looking at ML it's a long long road of learning compared to my initial learning experience with fullstack. I primarily enjoy fullstack dev but don't know if there are any jobs left in this field. Would love to hear yo advice on this man.

if you've taken linear algebra and diff eqs, its 100% going to be worth at least starting. otherwise if you aren't mathematically there yet, it'll be a shitshow.

@@thinkingcitizen Thanks for the advice man. I have an AI module this semester and learning some of the concepts always had some hidden prerequisite and was like an infinite hidden domino effect. Reading the docs for some of the ML libraries are way more challenging than a traditional library like React, Node.js etc. Is there like a job where you can combine fullstack and ML or are they both individual disciplines that one will need to choose?
      Thanks
