Man, I watched a random video months ago about growing ginger and turmeric out of pure boredom, and now Hoocho is one of my favourite channels. Love your work mate! Your videos hit just the right balance of educational and inspiring - in the sense that you're teaching us how to do something while keeping it accessible by using cheap and available hardware that we can actually try out for ourselves what you're teaching us. Super cool. Also just calling it out, I think you're off-camera planning for the channel is super impressive man! So many of your videos take weeks to film since you're filming the plants actually growing, and yet you're uploading practically once every two weeks. I had a look and we're in the 17th week of 2024 at the time of this comment, and you've posted 10 videos already for 2024.

Been watching your channel for years now and so great to see the progress. Living the in the United Arab Emirates, acquiring hydroponics solutions locally for residential use is not the easiest.
So, in order to support your store and based on this video..... IT's TIME.... I have ordered your Multi Bucket... (Even though you don't deliver internationally.... Shop and Ship does and I use them across the globe).
I'm looking forward to testing these buckets here and maybe even becoming a UAE reseller later if I find enough interested people here.
FYI, run a small 3D printing company here and enjoy your 3D to Hydroponics adaption.... Keep it coming.

Hooch!! Ive been waiting for this one! Mate, it would be so good if you could try to create a system using hooch buckets for people who dont have utes/live in apartments where its difficult to get in long tubing like rain gutters or steel pickets and things. Like a challenge! Maybe a friend of yours has a small apartment only accessible by a tiny staircase, and you can only use like a tiny suzuki swift or something to get all the stuff in and out the apartment. Maybe height restrictions could be taken into consideration too. I know youre a man down for a challenge!

I love the system. I suspect you will have nutrient flowing out of the buckets as it runs off the leaves below. To prevent that put a piece of tubing the diameter of the net cup running between the bucket above (with the net cup inside of it) down to the bucket below, so that the flow of nutrients bypasses the leaves and drops into the media.

  • @AptHydro

I like the looks of the new system.
Perhaps the poles could be PVC.
Also what about using a very small "mini submersible water pump" with 1/4 inch tubing in the poles and running it all the time. No timer, quieter and cheaper.

Great video as always. There was a company or group called 3dponics that made something similar to this and used an airlift pump to power theirs. I just thought that these could be made longer on one axis and be troughs for planting also.

Hey Hoocho, I really appreciate your channel and I have learned so much from you. When you started talking about your wall of hooch multi buckets, I envisioned them with the pots connecting it all. I'll try to explain what's in my head, but it might be challenging. If you set up five pairs of poles, you can have three buckets U-U-U, then above, you could have two buckets off set -U-U-, then you could have another row of three buckets U-U-U, and so on., Basically the pole going through the right of the top bucket would go through the left of the bucket below it and the right of the one below it...etc.. It would in essence look like:
    U-U-U
    -U-U-
    U-U-U
    -U-U-
    U-U-U
I don't know if that makes sense or not. Just really like this system. You are doing great!

  • @gilcd85
