@@templeviewgate she uses proper body mechanics by carrying the weight as part of her body/on her back. For example, if she holds a 20 pounds weight away from her body, it produces 200 pounds of force on her back. But when she carries the 20 pounds on her body, its just 20 pounds add to her.

This large generator seems like an important step. I hope you have confidence that you can pretty much do anything you put your mind and heart to. Patiently, asking for help and guidance when needed, trusting in your skills and experience. In my life I would work and prepare for hard things. Working alone for decades at a time. I cannot see the future, sometimes it looks bleak and difficult. But I pray when I do not know, take baby steps and try to just keep going. Helping others seems to be the right direction. The restoration is amazing, well done. I have watched your channel for about a year now and have enjoyed seeing what can be accomplished with hard work and a little effort. I would like to ask that in future restorations that you include showing how you measure components before replacing them. Like main and rod bearings, gaping piston rings to mention a few. Also I was expecting you to paint the motor/generator "PINK". KOKO!

You're a wonderful mechanic young lady...but next time perhaps lubricate the crankshaft bearing shells before assembly or you risk 'tearing' up the white metal bearing shells.[ from an old retired machine tool fitter]. Love your videos and good luck in all your future endeavours.
You do, do very good job and you're very talented. But one thing you need to know. On engines. . To remove Cylinder Heads and Crankshafts. you need to De-Torque and Re-Torque them in a set way. You can't just undo them in the way you did. ... From the inside centre in a criss-cross fashion No 1 being the centre and No 2 being opposite then No 3 to the Right and No 4 to the Left No5 to the Left No 6 To the Right working out to No's 7 & 10 on the Right and 8 & 9 on the Left. So to tighten or loosen it goes ,... 1/4/3/10/9/2/5/6/7/8. On many other jobs you do, you do a marvellous job and massive respect...to you. On building the crankshaft you didn't use any assembly lubricant nor any oil at all thus making this a very dry build and will damage the engine on it's first start up you need to build an engine with oil and assemble lubricant. Also the new liners you have installed you have not oiled them to stop them cutting binding as they seat on the bottom of the engine.... I'm very sorry but this engine won't last too long as no oils and lubricant's have been used...... I have built many engines and that it a dry build and not the way to build and engine......
I figured she had a good idea what was wrong with it before she started. Diesel engines have a very long life. Almost everything she repairs is three phase, which is a lot better than single phase. Good job Lin!
I love watching her doing these rebuilds with just basic hand tools. I guess that is part of the appeal of her channel. But I would still love to see what she could accomplish with a real set of tools. It would be even funnier to see what a mechanic could accomplish with her tools. They would give up after 5 minutes.
The usual great video one thing I would say if that was galvanised steel you were welding it is very poisonous! Just watched the rest of video probably not galvanised if you're painting it 😊
Interesting to see the comments. Perhaps those, with knowledge, she could use, could send her videos of proper techniques. I doubt she is offering her videos as “how to”. I think they are for entertainment purposes. I think with proper mentoring, she could be a skilled artisan.

Lin, have someone get you a 90° welding magnet to support your work when welding two metal pieces...it makes for a better welding and is square too.
