Require transparency, so that every penny a politician gets is 100% known to the public. If a congressman or senator takes money from say Blackrock around the time of voting in a way that favors them, that should be penalized and publicized. They should lose every penny not just pay a small fee.

We work with all departments which gives us access to top dogs and if you're smart (which most aren't) that's your ticket to any department you want. The one tool we have to combat oligarchy is literally our vote but we are too busy fighting amongst ourselves about the most inconsequential things like gender identity. No matter what our background is, we have so much of core principles we all share that should bring us together but we're too busy arguing. Honestly this is why I am beginning to dislike even channels that support my views because I am beginning to see they also feed off the conflict and fan the flames. All these RUclips channels monetize by highlighting the conflict and causing uproar. I wish people would work towards finding common ground to focus on the real problems of this country. I find it incredibly sad this country is so fragmented and values seem non existent and we seem to embrace ignorance and worship vanity.

I find it incredibly disrespectful that citizens shit on the right to vote. People have died and fought for this right. Women's suffrage, civil rights movements, the founders of the county to have representation, not to mention people from all over the world with their respective governments and countries.

I understand that politicians can be bought and influenced. That was the whole point of the video. I was saying the one minimal way to combat that is by our involvement which is evidenced by voting to start.
If you think your vote is inconsequential, (which is actually important on the local levels and state) then I would think it should motivate you and alarm you. You'd be living in a country with a driver being directed by someone who isn't in the car with you.
I don't usually write these drawn-out comments because I know I am usually wasting my time, but I realized that by not at least trying I'd be guilty of what I am preaching against.
