I'm currenty working on hacking an M5 Atom Echo into an old Alexa Echo Dot. It's super easy to connect it up to the built in speakers but I got a little carried away and built a whole replacement PCB for full lighting and button replacements too!
@@simonsayshomeassistant actually, no, you can wire the atom echo directly to the speaker in the dot, and it sounds *really* good (I think this is mostly beacuse the echo has a really well designed enclosure).
Thanks Boet, here is the code "You are a voice assistant for Home Assistant. Answer questions about the world truthfully. Answer with cheeky responses"
This was really handy. I just got mine and was looking for inspiration. It's amazing how simple so much of it is. One question though - have you managed to connect it to a bluetooth speaker? I don't really want to use a 3.5mm jack output but all the HA forums at the moment are just saying "you need a media player" which is nonsense as the PE is a media player.
lol you set my assistant off constantly. Please maybe bleep this type of thing in the future. I think many will appreciate it. Thanks. Appreciate your video. I have one and forgot all about the click wheel.

Thank you.I haven't managed to get it to sync music via bluetooth
if you made a music toggle helper in HA , you could have vocie pe turn on the helper which runs an automation to play your play list
Oh cool thank you I will give that a go!
