Old Bill Lawrence L-250 pickups never been used - pickguard for sale

Ich habe diese Pickups irgendwann um die 1990 gekauft, und seitdem lagen sie in einer Schublade. Jetzt habe ich sie endlich zum Leben erweckt, und das klingt sehr ordentlich. Witzig dabei: Erst vor wenigen Jahren habe ich zufällig erfahren, dass das ja brummfreie Modelle sind, also Humbucker, jeder um die 13k an Wicklung. Der Volume Poti ist ein SSP Modell (der Wert des Potis kann eingestellt werden, wenn man das Pickguard etwas anhebt, die Saiten müssen dazu nicht entspannt werden) und ist in diesem Video auf 500k eingestellt. Wenn man den Wert auf tiefere Werte einstellt, wird der Sound milder und wärmer, also auch weniger Biss in den Höhen. Der untere Tonpoti ist für Bridge, und Bridge/Middle, der mittlere Pickup alleine hat keine Tonregelung, und der obere Tonpoti ist für Neck und Neck/Middle. Der Bridge Tonpoti hat 250k, der Neck 300k als Wert. Der Kondensator ist ein 22nF Paper in Oil, und die RC Kombi am Volume Poti ist die neue AGL Honey Tone Kombi. Sachen gibt´s! :-)

Great sounds! Excellent playing! Sound like single coils! Better than Fender noiseless, and Dimarzio!

I really like Fender's noiseless stuff. These have far more treble which is great for that sharp Strat tone but they definitely handle gain better than a true single would with less unwanted noise. I love EMG singles for this same reason. Definitely not a traditional single coil tone but they are certainly able to cover more ground.

Nils Lofgren used to be one of the early adopters of those wayyyyyy back when ..... L220 as well. I think the way they work is the use to 'air coils' either side of the magnet. Lindy Fralin might have resurrected that concept for his noiseless P90s ... don't quote me on it though

Fralin's noiseless P90 is a sidewinder, vs stacked coils such as these.

@@JohnnyBGoode9 thanks about the L250, but the L220 was a sidewinder pickup by old Bill Lawrence, they preceded the L250 .... he had some great ideas .... decades ago

Volume pot is one of my variable value setting SSP (sweet spot pot) pots, here set to 500k. (can be adjusted from 530-0k) See here on my site: acys-lounge.de/potentiometer.html Bridge tone pot has 250k, neck tone pot 300k.
