Super!
Great Music.
This is my favourite Rosie Tatts song. NO FKN DOUBT. If you want to go on about SHARPS , they excisted in Sydney too. I came across gangs of sharps, many times, and solo sharps many more times. The only lip I got from a solo sharp was from their lipstick. The only time my 14 year old surfie mates and I got hassled by sharps, much older than us,THE PADDINGTON SHARPS, in Sydney, we punched the shit out of them, stole their money. Then we went to their pub and drank their money. My sister married one of those pricks, and I punched the prick out 20 years later.
Brilliant
My attitude toward Sharpies will never change.
My attitude toward Rose Tattoo will never change either. I dig the band, good rock music for sure.
I know some old Sharps these days, and they admit to gutless acts.
Since the Sharps like Rose Tattoo is it safe to say that The Butcher was a Sharp and Fast Eddie was a Mod? I was just reading about the Sharps since you mentioned them and was just curious because I read some articles about those gangs in Australia in the 60's and 70's.
with Chinese Dunkirk on 2nd lp, a masterchief, as great as AC/DC's "there ain't no fun waitin' round to be a millionaire"
Le Hugo des faubourg...film culte et scène d'anthologie! Avec celle du viol de la sister, la Douleur de José Garcia qui méritait un César pour ce rôle.
Yall remember iron bar in thunderdome? This is him singing. Yep. Tina Turner hooked him up.
Exactement. C'est comme 'le boeuf' - Sharps (or Sharpies) were generally working class or lower middle class gangs which represented a suburb existed mainly in Melbourne from perhaps the late sixties to about 1983. They had a style which was a bit similar to old skinheads and bovver boys in the UK but different and it evolved. Heeled boots, tight jeans, or overalls, tight t-shirts, tight cardigans shaved heads with a tail at the back, tattoos. They were tough. Frankston is a suburb of Melbourne.
Simon Bremner Did really dig this band.Real raw Aussie band, played about street life & even love..I also spent part of my youth living close to the city.Went out wth A guy frm Westside, but sadly he kept returning to Her Magestys in Coburg.Crime does not pay.
Simon Bremner &also hung with some Pommy lads in Melb who wore similar digs to Sharps "fred perrys shirts, braces& docs.had bald heads or number 2 wth tails & the Aussie Aussie oi oi oi Cricket shout is actually a pommy skinhead oi boy shout/romp frm UK."zigger zagger zigger zagger oi oi oi "The Bootboys"(Melb band) & "The Business"Uk:)
How you go? 🔱
This is older than 80... 78.
i always thought this sounds like a alex harvey epic great song

@@gillesbourgeois5348 HAD NO CLUE IF YOU GET IT
I never meant to insult anyone. The Tatts ROCK.
Sorry, I did mean to insult my brother in law, Humberto . The most gutless human being I have ever known.
