My parents were married over 60 years. When my Dad was deep in dementia, one morning when he woke up he turned to my Mom in bed and said "I have something important to ask you". She said, "okay, what is it?" He said "Do you think we could get married?" She said "Yes, I think that would be nice!" He got the biggest smile and said, "You WILL?" She made him happy all over again. He passed in 2020, by which time he didn't remember any of his 5 kids or his long career. But he always remembered Mom was somebody he loved, even if he couldn't recall her name. Goals.
I've never had a RUclips comment make me cry... until today. Congratulations, achievement unlocked! All jokes aside, I'm sorry for your loss. Both of your parents sound like wonderful people and they were truly lucky to have each other.
Thank you for sharing that beautiful story! By the time my grandmother passed away her dementia was so bad she couldn't speak. But most of the time when I saw her she was just look at me and smile. She knew that we were family but not exactly who I was. I was grateful that at least she was happy. I'm so sorry for your loss.
@@sarahhewitt3951 I would rather it be staged. I hope it's just a cry for attention and she wasn't actually abused. Unfortunately, I think it *is* real as a victim of abuse. Those are all things I've wanted to scream at my own mother
The woman patiently waiting for the man to get through his proposal, while gently supporting his hands while he shook from nerves.... Those two are the very definition of love. They brought tears to my eyes. They really found each other.
That video fun fact the girl was on big brother and the guy came to visit her during a part of it he kept her parents informed about her being on the show they are both very sweet
If you’re not on her page (I saw the proposal video the day it came out because I follow the original girl also) you should be happy to know that they got married super recently :)
My husband of a decade told me loopy on anesthetic "I have something to tell you." Then he paused as if working up the courage "I love you soooo much." I'm like "I know, honey. I love you too!" And he just gets super happy and goes "you love me too! Oh wow!". It was really cute and funny.
I’m a grown man. That clip with the old lady complaining about the lights made me burst out in tears…. We can all be like that folks. It’s in all of us.
The guy CHORTLING with his mouth full of sandwich made me giggle right along with him. THIS is a great example of a prank that makes everyone involved laugh and doesn’t cause any harm.
That man was raised right!!! Somebody kiss his momma and tell her thanks! Some good stuff. It's heartbreaking when people's minds start slipping. I'm praying that she has family and the support of all of her neighbors.
15:46 The way her face lit up and she instantly apologized. That meant a lot to her and I cannot even begin to explain how happy that must’ve made her.
Then start to be it. It's free to be compassionate to others, right now. It doesn't need to be big gestures, and it doesn't need to come at your inconvenience, but compassion is free and always a choice.
I'm an aging neighbor -- a 68-year-old woman with an 80-year-old husband. We, however, are not lonely, largely due to the generosity and kindness of our neighbors. My knee has been giving me fits for weeks, and my husband was already mobility-impaired, so they're walking our dog for us, and just generally helping in every conceivable way. You'd be amazed at how grateful we are for even the smallest gestures.
The older lady was probably sundowning hard. She may be saying that she cannot sleep because of the lights, but it's most likely she has dementia and can't sleep because of that. It's nice that her neighbor recognized that something was off and most likely that she needed company while in her state. My dad has Alzheimer's and some nights struggles to sleep, but he's no longer as mobile as she is. He'll get confused like that too.
My guess is that the light she was complaining about was probably the reflection of her own bedroom light in her bedroom window. You'd be surprised how coherent some dementia patients can be while not understanding the concept of reflections any more. My father, who suffers from Alzheimer's, at one point in his condition spent all day talking in complete sentences to the mirror, and would introduce me to his "friend" in it and talk about how they'd been discussing how to remove the "glass" separating them so he could come in.
6:49 THIS!!! Freedom of expression in speech and physical appearance was always ‘encouraged’ in my house growing up, but then when I’d do something my father didn’t think was ‘normal’, I’d be ridiculed. Still, to this day, I have trouble with the confusion of whether I should express myself, or keep some things hidden in fear of being put down. But, I have gotten a lot better due to my own growth, and the people I choose to have around me. Things like this are so important for children ♡
I used to be where you are so I hope you take what I say to heart. First, what people say or do is a reflection of them, NOT you. What they say or do reveals the character they have. For every one person that "hates" you or degrades you, there's 10 people that will love you and lift you up. There will come a time when you realize that life is too short to be anyone else but yourself. I'd rather be alone with my self confidence and smiles than be loved by hundreds of people while I'm pretending to be the person they want me to be. Be yourself. Don't EVER let someone's judgement determine your happiness. Why be a sheep when you can be the wolf? If all else fails, put your middle finger up and walk away. LOL Don't let fear or hate take another second of your life. You got this.
The first man was my hubby after surgery!!!! He was in tears saying I was beautiful and thank you for making his life happy. Our toddler was in the back and he thanked me for having him and just wanted to hold his son 😢. I heard it’s truth juice so it made me so happy coming from a man with few words.
I went in for a 30 minute routine surgery, and ended up in the ICU after having a seizure and cardiac episode. Was put into medical coma and intubated. During the majority of this my husband, (not married at this point), was not notified of my condition and he demanded information on my status as my routine surgery had gone well past it's scheduled time. When I woke up, he told me all the he'll he went through just so he could be by my side, and I remember as I was waking up, tearing out my own intubation tube, the nurses were being not so nice in many ways, and I remember hearing him standing up for me, scared for me, but making sure that I was treated right. The face of fear I saw when I finally opened my eyes, showed me just how truly he cared.❤
My husband had to have emergency surgery in July and was on pain meds. I came into his hospital room and he told the nurse, "See my wife? Isn't she sexy? You know what? She's not just sexy. She's smart. She has this cute little birthmark riiiight there." I blushed like crazy because I knew where he was trying to point. The nurse told me he had told her how amazing of a mother I am and how good of a cook I am. And the favorite dish I cook him. Lol My husband is a quiet and private person.
The husband yelling at the dad over the phone is so damn beautiful. Finding someone willing to stand up to the person who hurt you regardless of who it is is a gift in this day and age. 😭
@@LeonardNemoy I don't think it's anything to smile about. Kudos to her husband in defending his wife's honor, but it's against a person who should also love you most in the world. It's pretty sad, actually.
To those saying that video is fake, how do you know? You have absolutely no idea what that woman went through with her father. I'd probably cry too if my husband yelled at my dad like that because he was mean to me a lot during my life. I finally cut my dad out of my life for good back in June.
I gotta say, I’ve had the worst week at work, took a mental health day to stay at home, and laughing at these videos and listening to the heartfelt stories have been healing. These videos have done more for me than all the bad thoughts I’ve had all day. Exactly what I needed. Thank you so much.
something that stands out to me about the man who proposed to his fiance in chinese is that he did it while she was ready to record something else. so she has that memory preserved and gives her the choice on whether or not she wants to share it. idk it just feels a bit better and different from when the proposer is the one who starts recording.
His hands shaking with nerves and her holding them kinda f'd me up for a minute. Like I had to pause. That was... I get a "yikes" feeling from a LOT of stuff recorded for social media, but this one was... just good. It was just good.
@@Caddis496 that's the moment in this entire video that made me cry a bit too! It just felt so genuine, and not performative at all. Just someone trying to comfort someone else 🥹
@@kathydodge8028 Her holding his shaky hands, while he's doing this big, scary, vulnerable thing for her ... I dunno, I'm not a marriage person, but I'm very confident that these two will make it work.
the guy making friends with the old lady that compain about lights just made me cry he was so kind and so gentle understanding she was confuse and problably with some kind of mental health problem... i have a grandfather with a lot of troubles remembering everything, and is very painfull for him when he realizes his memory is not the same, so was so heartwarming see the guy talking to her with so much care, not embarracing her or anything
Alzheimer's and dementia starts off with the sort of behaviour she was showing (I've seen more of the videos with them), he's an absolute gem of a fella when it clicks in his understanding that she's living alone and even she isn't aware of what it is about the lights being on that is actually making her irritated. She's lonely and has lost the ability to accurately express what it is, so her mind is using the excuse of seeing his back yard light on while he has guests over to complain about it being too bright in her room to go over to make demands. I suspect he's either cared for someone with a similar condition or might know someone who works in memory care.
As someone of the... let's just say, socially dense variety...I probably wouldn't have been as understanding in that situation, so that video was comforting, but also really humbling. I have no idea how that guy deduced that his neighbor just wanted to talk to someone. It's incredible, and I think he's a wizard.
The green flag guys are my favorite thing. My absolute favorite still remains the guy defending his wife against her Dad. He is so passionately protective. It just makes me feel good to see even though Idk what she was going through.
I really hope I can be that for my boyfriend in the future. His mom apparently is a piece of work. We're still pretty new, so we haven't talked a lot about her (he loathes bringing her up) and haven't met (he hasn't seen her in years).. but from what I know I want to be a reef between her stormy destructive force and my sunny beautiful island of a bf.
While i love the sentiment behind it, and i adore green flag videos, i sometimes find myself wishing people wouldn’t just share whatever on the internet. Like that video specifically seemed so private and intimate i wish i didn’t see it? It’s hard to explain. I feel like im intruding on something. I personally would never be comfortable sharing something like that with a bunch of strangers, but to each their own, i guess?
@@Sebisajiminstan I see what you mean. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that either. But a lot of people live their lives online, and share the most. Maybe she wanted to share what a supportive husband looks like, and help people make hard decisions. Or maybe she just wanted to share the love and care she felt in that moment. And hopefully she got his approval to post.
Something I learned through being a Pre-K teacher is how important it is to remain calm when a child gets hurt. It can be really hard but it makes a huge difference to the child if the adults are calm. I love these compilations- we need more green flags!
Yup. When my kids were little & they fell or something like that, my quick reaction was “Ker-boom! Kerrr-BOOM!!! (encouraging smiles & then with the gentle) You ok? (& a playful) Yeah, you’re ok!😊” That seemed to be just right in calming them down while making them feel better, at least for my kids.
@@KatySueWho yeah, if you go about it right its amazing how quickly you can deescalate the situation, from little bumps to bigger stuff. All they know is they're hurting, so they look to us, the adults. If we're calm, then its probably fine lol. Now if only you could explain that to babies....if one cries, _they ALL cry_ and then I want to cry XD
As a former child I sincerely agree. The hardest situations were those where I had to step up because I knew I was the most able to handle the current situation and tried to deal with what was going on AND tried to be there for the people who were feeling bad about what happened - Tho, I guess it can be learning experiences too, as long as it doesn't become traumatic.
@@wolfsongrising Well, with babies you have to remember that every bad thing that happens to them is literally the worst thing they've experienced in their entire life and the only way they know to express it is crying.
@@Dargonhuman truth lol, I nannied for twins 0-3 years old and occasionally babysat 4 1-year-olds at once, that was an _experience_ lol. They're precious though. One of the strongest memories I have of that was one of them going through teething spent the whole morning screaming at me, and then curled up in my lap to fall asleep at naptime and just...you know, its the worst thing for them, but its us they trust to make them better somehow. There's love there, simple as it is, just the thought that struck me while I cuddled that poor tired toddler and the memory has stuck since. They're a lot of work, but they're worth it
I actually started tearing up at the proposal. I had no clue what the details of what he was saying were, but he took the time to learn another language that his gf speaks, memorized a bunch of what he wanted to say (bc that’s hard enough to do in English as it is with speeches), and proposed in a way that so eloquently displays his love for her-all through the nervousness of the gravity of what he knew he was doing. I have never cried over something on tik tok because of the fakeness and lack of emotion considering most things are rage bait anyway, so I’m very glad I clicked on this video today.
The guy bringing in evidence of 4 kids saying ... Now afterall this. He got me three times His reflex to give her what she asked for His utter confusion about why, and bring evidence of thier intimacy 😂 (4) Him realising she might be going through something and obviously torn between asking and giving her her space.
I have been with my husband for 20 years and we have 2 children. I still do not want to get dressed in front of him. He reacts just like this guy every time I ask him to give me the room. I’m just not happy with how I look and I don’t want him to be turned off by me. It’s a ME thing that’s all.
@@t.k159 it surely is a you thing. I promise you that when he looks at you he sees only beautiful perfection. I worked in retail for years, surrounded by life sized photos of photoshopped super models. I was early twenties and thought that that was what women were supposed to look like. I was always the most covered person on the beach. If someone paid me a compliment I’d look around to see who they were talking to. One month, we got a new floor plan to set only the marketing photos weren’t retouched. I was shocked when I saw cellulite and rolls (just skin, we all have it) on all these women who were always so flawless on the walls and in the windows. I’d like to say that I eased up on myself after that, but I didn’t. Now, I’m older and my skin is starting to sag and things are drooping and I really regret not appreciating my youthful beauty. Let your husband see you change. If you can’t see how pretty you are, he can!
The puppy video reminded me of a Christmas present situation my husband and I had. One year we were talking about record players and how it was nice to listen to the old sound of records. So for Christmas I got him a record player. Christmas Day came and we were both opening our presents. He opened his record player and he got a big smile, started laughing, and was like really. I was like what? He says well you better open the rest of your presents first. So I did and low and behold he got me a record player too. Then I was like really?! We just laughed. It was so funny and great. One of my favorite Christmas memories.
7:26 So freaking true - I remember wearing a “winter sweater” that I’d found second hand to a date with an ex boyfriend fairly early on in our relationship. It was dark blue fading into light blue with silver sparkles woven in and I really liked it, and this guy MADE FUN OF ME until I straight up told him “Ok dude, I, unlike YOU, don’t have anything else to change into, so do you want me to just go home? Because I’m not cool with you just making fun of me all night.” And he STFU, but needless to say after that I wasn’t going to wear that sweater around him, or anyone else because I now felt so insecure in it, so I gave it to the Salvation Army after that. I miss that sweater more than I miss that BF.
It sounds like a really cute sweater! And a really sh¡tty ex! Glad you got rid of the latter, and it’s never too late for the former! I bet you’ve already tried looking for similar sweaters online, but if you haven’t, I’m sure you can find one close enough. If you’re interested, I looked things up quickly and I found: 𖦹 _ERL Gradient Sweater_ ($600) is more dark blue to black, no silver sparkles/shimmer, quite pricey 𖦹 _Rodier Tie & Dye Cashmere Jumper in Royal Blue_ ($150~200) might be closer in terms of gradient, no silver sparkles/shimmer 𖦹 _Forever 21 Fuzzy Ombre Cropped Sweater_ ($40), has silver sparkles/shimmer, color wise is more sky blue to white, cropped style I hope you find the perfect partner (if needed) and sweater for you! ᯓ⚝
ok actually that sweater sounds like it would looj rlly pretty By the saints! What sorcery is this? I am utterly confounded by the peculiarity of this situation! iSTOPEOSPAPS wtf* was he on about
13:05, as someone who has been learning Chinese for like, 7 or 8 years now, I can confirm. I still haven't really learnt the language, so the fact that he learnt that is really wholesome. 💖
It's like a breath of fresh air to see some positivity regarding relationships on a RUclips video. It just seems to be awash with negativity these days, alpha male this, boss babe that, toxicity and hate everywhere. Thanks for this, it really brightened my day.
Last time I was on anesthesia, I cranked the volume in the radio because evanescence’s “bring me to life” was playing. Then after the initial high wore off I cried because I was so nauseous that I didn’t want to eat and my husband spoon fed me soup saying “you have to eat with your medicine”. Needless to say this man takes care of me
When I was under general anesthesia for my emergency c-section, I dreamt that I was in the TMNT underground liar and that Leo was telling me everything was going to be fine, so I woke perfectly calm. The nurses laughed when I told them. That baby girl is turning 11 years old soon.
@@Salicat99my that is the most hilarious way for the effects of anasthesia to materialize in your head. I have never been on anasthesia, but I have strong adhd meds, and one time I took 2 when I had a dose of 1 just to see if it would work better. Yes, that was INCREDIBLY stupid, but I was very young and with my dad being pretty shitty at his parental role, I was supervising my own medication intake. One thing led to another and I was sitting in the school cafeteria on a fairly intense high, and the only thing I was able to talk about was video game characters and song lyrics while losing my sh1t. It wore off and I was fine, but the insanity of basically having the equivalent to a Mario rainbow star jumping around my head and manifesting video game characters to make me feel better was a wild experience xD
Hey MD here, shoulder surgery so they probably did general anesthesia. So yeah, both anesthesia and amnesia. Propofol and/or Midazolam are the some of the drugs that are used to put you under, and they make you ✨forget✨.
That explains why I forgot temporarily my conversations with my mom before being transferred to a permanent room and the movement from the OR. I wasn’t under for very long the first time I was under (only one wisdom tooth removed), so 5+ hours definitely was different. Also my dad turns into a big old teddy bear. FYI he is 6’3” 200 lbs ish dude who sport a very thick beard most of the time. He is a classic bear but not gay.
I was put under for surgery a few years ago and when I woke up I continued the conversation with the nurse from where we had left off and she was like, "how do you remember???" XD
As a male, these videos are amazing. It's so refreshing to see men treat women the way I treat them. Respect is paramount to anything else in my opinion. People always come and go but respect is timeless. EDIT: @7:30 Fuck, man. How can I not sub to you. Thanks for opening up and being honest about the confidence you needed. This is crucial for every parent or guardian to understand.
I often see this video mixed in with doorbell manias, Karen's etc and there are a humongous amount of comments saying that this is just the sweetest interaction ever, I love the video, granted it appears to have to taken the man a few visits before he understood what was actually going on but once he understood the mission, he green flagged himself to everyone watching ❤❤
Dude, the old lady and neighbor guy one made me cry, he was so sweet, understanding, and compassionate to her! The fact that he wants to spend time with her and says he loves her is so incredibly sweet, I can't get over it!!!
@@happyfirechannelthat means that at least he knows that there is different sizes :) I learned it when I was 10 and my sister asked me to go to the store to get some for her. I came home with three different sizes because I had no clue what to get.
4:00 I agree, Dustin, the reactions on their faces tell all - he was reading her expression and knew she wanted that drink more, and even though he also liked it better, based on his taste reaction comparison, he decided to make her extra happy, even if that means he got the second place beverage. Smooth move there, my guy, keep up the wholesome work~
I feel like I am the only one that disagrees lol he made a reaction face to the second drink way before she did or said anything. He makes a face after the first like he finds it bitter lol
Yeah, I have had that exact same thing happen to me before, a couple of times with my current bf. First time was a couple years ago I think, second was a little less than a year now. I also recognized it immediately in this video.
15:29 "Then, it clicked. He realised her mental state, and saw that he was just extremely lonely, and then this happened..." That actually made my eyes water so much, that was so sweet❤❤❤❤❤❤
6:55 I haven’t noticed anyone commenting about this, but I want to thank you for sharing that story with us. I guarantee somebody out there really needed to hear that ❤️
I agree! I’m also very angry with the fool that told him that about his shirt. Seeing somebody express themselves and step out of their comfort zone is such an important moment, and purposefully trying to ruin it is so messed up
I actually had something like this happen to me today (and now I see this video). I am going to a wedding this weekend and picked out an outfit that was out of my comfort zone because I wanted to change it up. I'm not good with fashion sense, so I sent a picture of me in it to someone close to me and got the response "You look uncomfortable. Wear something else". This was 6 hours ago now and I'm still devastated. Sorry for dumping, just needed to say it somewhere
@@malitia20 (sorry if you didn't actually want advice, I've just been in the same boat before and it took me years to not listen to those opinions, and only then did I actually start to develop a style and confidence in my appearance, so I thought I'd share) If you liked it, wear it!! Everyone looks uncomfortable in pictures they take of themselves as reference lol That's not the same thing as if you were wearing it at an event and having a good time. The only way I think you'll know how you feel in that outfit at that type of event, is to wear it there. Even if it turns out to not be your thing for one reason or another after all, you'll know that for certain because ✨you tried✨ Everyone wears things they don't end up loving at some time in their lives, that's life and that's ok. Style changes over time anyways, and there's no winning or losing. Experiment! I think you might be surprised at how just following through with the choice that you made can make you feel really good, and can increase your confidence in all of your own decisions over time. Trusting yourself proves to you that you can do a scary thing, and then when the next scary thing comes along, you won't be as afraid. You'll have confidence in your ability to do scary things. The one with the lil old lady complaining constantly about the neighbors lights, got me all in my feels. When he switched up n invited her to come over n hang out any time she's lonely n needing someone to spend time with, etc, n then she suddenly let that facade fall n apologized to him, yeah, that made me cry!!! That poor lil old lonely lady, hit the jackpot when that neighbor moved in, cuz he is such a doll n so big hearted

Thank you. I am newly on meds for ADHD and the side-effect are going strong right now, bringing me an episode of anxiety and depression. This video was exactly what I needed.
I hope you're doing better, or get better soon. Psychiatrist medication can be actually hard in the beginning, but i hope you can feel more comfort and benefits and less adversity as soon as possible!
I legit had to pause and cry for a moment when that beautiful man showed that lonely woman kindness, even after she had harassed him over and over. Like an arrow straight to the heart, man. Shit. Pain spreads, but so does love. Hell yeah.
18:11 "and waited until police arrived" - that made sooooo confused, cause I was like: "Huh? That calls for an ambulance, not police if someone needs to arrive..." and then I saw what was meant and I can't stop grinning xD

My husband had a cardiac shock which is different than heart attack. He ended up on a ventilator and ECMO life support machine. He was responding so well to the ECMO that they decided to take out the ventilator and wake him up. He was on a lot of medications to keep him comfortable but every time I came into the ICU. He would get very emotional saying I love you with a few tears and apologizing to me. This man hardly ever shed a tear for the 28 years I known him. I knew we were going to be together until death which I hope is still a long way from now. He ended up with a heart transplant and is doing well.
I can't imagine how scary it must have been going through that. I'm glad he was able to get the transplant he needed and that you two are going strong.
Thank you for sharing your stories flag guy!!! Pretty glad you're alive! I too hid myself when others would make comments and I truly hope that whoever is going through similar knows that it is OK to be yourself. Those who care for you will support you and as we get older it matters less about what we wear. Find yourself, love yourself and those who are for you will find you and love you too!
For the longest time, I was never really a big of a fan of your content. I just thought you were the average hyperactive TikTok influencer that just ran around with flags and use other peoples content for your content. But after getting this video in my recommended, I decided to give it a chance and for you to prove me wrong... and am I so glad I gave you another chance. Omg i cried about the woman who went to the neighbors house and she has dementia. Its sad as getting older is scary, but to be confused and alone is very heartbreaking. The neighbor got it and God bless him! Id totally be the same.
After I retired I took a job working with individuals with developmental disabilities. It is an incredibly rewarding job. The one downside is that people with developmental disabilities tend to develop Alzheimer's and Dementia at much younger ages. And on the date of my 37th birthday next year, after just 2 years in the field I already know a 48 year old woman who will have to transfer out of our care - in to more intensive and specialized care. It is heartbreaking.
13:58 the couple going out to dance in the rain together made me cryyy. I’ve taken my boyfriend away from things before now to do the same. It’s so beautiful and pure and I’m right there with them. Oh my goodness😭❤
Dude. I adore the green flag videos. It’s so easy to latch onto and get hooked into the nastiness of this world but the green flag videos help restore my faith in humanity and are a shining beacon of the best way to live life. The one with the old lady broke my heart and filled it at the same time. Thank you
Okay, that neighbor with the lights, you made me cry! That was beyond sweet. I had an elderly upstairs neighbor, who (never complained) actually apologized to me about the noise. I never minded. We would have conversations that would range from 5-30 min several times a week. Her children really didn't bother with her. The other neighbors just couldn't hang. She thanked me for being sweet and taking the time to talk and listen. It has been about 2 years since her passing and I miss her. This reminded me of her. Thank you.
What is wrong with that airport dude?? Okay, tell the kids off for playing the volume too loud. But the steward did it already and he did anyway? Then he SHOVES two girls flying by themselves? Then had the balls to berate them again in front of their dad after they apologized?! Wtf is wrong with this dude? I'm glad the dad pressed charges! Those girls hopefully learned that no one should treat them like that for a silly mistake! On the other hand, the one with the aging neighbor made me tear up. She reminds me a lot of an older lady I helped care for. She was so sweet and just wanted someone to talk to. Many people feel like they don't have time for that. But older folks have amazing stories! And it just is good to be kind to one another. Also, your story about your injury honestly made me laugh... or was a horrified laugh, but your description of the blood was just funny. And horrifying. I'm glad you're okay.
Airport dude took the dad apologizing as permission to go off on a pair of girls again thinking the dad wouldn't shift gears and verbally castrate him.
Airport dude might have narcissistic tendencies, they linger in their anger and the longer it goes on, the more it feeds their ego and keeps growing. You know the type: spilled juice is first just annoying, but becomes much more the further it goes. In the end they have forgotten where it started, that small annoyance, because they have fed this anger and now it has life of its own.. and the fault is always someone else’s. That guy.
@@ZombieMinion1992 Apparently. Guy certainly showed that he wasn't interested in being anything but aggressive, so good on dad for switching gears as needed. I respect him trying to be polite, and I respect him for absolutely defending the girls.
I love that man asking the neighbor to just come over for some food and wine, what a charming man and I hope his days will be filled with love and people that offer him the same when he is in need. I can watch the clip a thousand more times to feel the world is gonna be ok.
The lovely guy making friends with his elderly neighbour is my favourite. My late mum had dementia, thankfully with the right care in place she was able to stay at home & had plenty of support. Having seen how it destroyed my mum’s brain & behaviours I love that he realised that she was elderly, alone & needed a friend. The greenest of green flags 💚
16:05 omg that actually made me tear up. Lol that really got to me. Sometimes, once u get older and alone, u prolly just need…a friend. Or a helping hand. That man is a pure sweet human being. ❤
Keeping a calm tone when someone is badly injured is something I learned at a very very young age. It was also something I was utterly shocked to realize that my friends, who had worked as emts for a bit, didn't think to do when their 8yo kid fell and got a gash on her forehead. I had her calm and happy, and then they came in and started talking about how bad it was and how many stitches she'd need and she started getting that 'uh oh' look on her face. I had to calmly but firmly tell them too or three times to shut up because she'd be fine before they got the hint and moved their discussion out of the room.
I know for certain that would be me. Like I kind of plan something’s, but generally I like to plan when I know something is happening. If I plan it in advance even a few days then it feels like I will plan it but my plans will be canceled. Also I suck at remembering what day of the week, month it is, or even year it is sometimes. I kind of just look at what I have coming up on my calendar and let the offices I got to give me reminders for most of my appointments for events that are like a week away. Anything not that week I kind of don’t think about. I legit couldn’t remember when Christmas was, not because I didn’t know what date it was mind you, but I couldn’t remember if Christmas had past or I was off by a few days. If others don’t remind me I will forget. I also have a poor time with faces, though I will remember I have seen you before and can often figure out what I know a person but it is by the way they act and the vibe or aura they have. Don’t do faces well, feels like that bowl thing from How I Met Your Mother, you say it enough times and it becomes unfamiliar. My family faces all are unfamiliar to me too. Weirdly I can place a lot of actors not sure why because the face thing should make that hard. Though on second thought I think it is the same way as people in my daily life but actors I can also see patterns in the way they act. I have a really weird brain though. Sorry. Tired brain gets wordy sometimes.
Thank you for the little story where you shared I still never forget any of the things my father said to me to make me feel bad they still play in my head daily
Same. But for me, it was the kids at school. I've been a grown-up for a long time, and I'm embarrassed that my self-confidence is still not what it could be because of that.

Thanks for reminding me of the time when I was very pregnant and asked for my husband to bring me home food after work when I meant taco bell. He thought I had said I was craving McDonald's the day before which was possible because I was craving everything. He also had a second bag of food in his truck from taco bell. And was equally excited to "score extra points". He certainly did. And that baby is now grown.
The roller skating and the outfit ones got me. As a kid I loved wearing strange things and roller skating. My parents at the time would put me down for wearing such weird things and for doing an activity that people my size shouldn’t be doing in their opinion. Now as an adult I was adopted by a couple that encourages me to dress and act the way I want. While they still get worried I am slowly going back to that crazy kid that loves medieval and fantasy clothes and roller skating. Of course I fell a couple of times but it was so fun
Oh man. Proposals don’t usually get me in the feels, but her face when he starts speaking Chinese (If I’m wrong about the language, I apologize!) and how badly his hands are shaking the whole time is so cute.
I 💙💜🧡💚 the man with the old lady. I worked with older people, many of whom had some kind of confusion, dementia etc & simply sitting with them to listen to listen to them was all they wanted. Didn't need to make sense to me, as long as they were happy and safe. Wonderful man.
This si the most wholesome but energetic channel I've found in a while. The running through the field with flags is so cathartic and gets you jazzed up but then you're also crying with how sweet shit is.
Love that you are always thanking Dolly Parton. You should send he this video. Not only does she buy $million of books for kids every year, she also writes books! I can see her writing a book about confidence, doing your own thing, and making other people happy! Maybe she would have you do the art. I’d seriously try it; so much potential!
Two things. 1.This guy is super wholesome (at least from this video. haven't seen any others.) 2. This is literally the first person on the internet named Dustin I've seen. (also my name)
There's a lot of things that a toddler needs to be told 'no' to (being just Itty bitty humans that are still learning), but a Boe to match Big Sister is not one of those things. A bow is a bow, and he is maybe two.
Even a grown ass man can wear a bow if he wants to. Just saying. I've seen masculine looking people (I don't want to assume their gender) in dresses and they looked awesome. I've never understood gendering.. not with clothing, makeup, hobbies or anything else. I'm a firm believer of: "As long as you aren't hurting anyone, you can wear, do and say whatever you want/feel comfortable with."
@@borealernadelwald I absolutely love seeing people wear things that are not the "norm" for lack of a better word. It makes me happy that they are living their life the way THEY want and not caring what anyone else thinks. We would all be much happier as a society if we could feel that. I would love to have that confidence.

A bride made her ftm trans friend wear a dress to her wedding, which is one thing for another time but he did and he looked so good! If I were a different person and I met him at that wedding, I would be asking if he's single (he was just handsome in general though), it even had a leg slit. He has good taste, he looked fine as hell, don't know it mattered since he was trans but he agreed and he rocked it. Only problem with being me and not another person is my insecurities about my body and how I think I look that man that looks better than me in my own dresses would make me not feel good but I'd still want him to (with his own though, please) if he so chooses, I wouldn't prevent anyone from doing anything just because I'm not happy with myself. I feel that is important.
I want to share a story here. It was probably the first crack in my eggshell. When I was in high school, in Texas by the way, we would have pep rallies on the fridays of football games. Each one would have a theme, and throughout the school day, students would be encouraged to wear or participate in the theme. The theme that week was "Confusion," so they encouraged all of us to cross-dress. Now, I wasn't one to usually participate in these things, but one of my friends brought a denim sundress for her boyfriend at the time to wear, but he was way too big for it and it was offered to me. My gf at the time wanted me to participate, but she didn't really offer anything outside of a bra and some more feminine t-shirts. So I ended up wearing the sundress using the t-shirts as chest stuffing. It was nice, and I even got one of the awards at the pep rally for it, even though I was far from the most outrageous. It felt validating, in a time of my life where I generally was not faring well. Not only was I not judged for being weird, but I apparently looked good in it. Today I know I'm trans-fem, but unable to afford any gender affirming care, but despite being about 20 years ago, it's one of my best memories of being in school.
Aaaw that's a really sweet story, I really hope you can afford gender affirming care soon, I don't know the rules in your country regarding gender care but between high prices and long waiting lists it can be really tough and I hope you have supportive people around you.
So much love to you from a trans-masc sibling here! I have a similar story, in that I got into cosplay in high school and learned about chest binders from people who did cross play. The first time I cosplayed a male character with the binder on and the whole look done up... idk there was something about it that made me feel so good and so comfortable. I felt charming and boyish and I had this extra spring in my step the whole convention. I remember thinking about that feeling a lot over the next few years. I cosplayed a LOT of male characters chasing it 😅 I had no understanding what that feeling truly meant until I learned about the concept of being trans and nonbinary in college. Then, after doing more research and introspection, my feelings and experiences with gender and my body suddenly made a lot more sense. I'm lucky to be in a place now where I've been on testosterone for 2 years (I've been out as transmasc for 10, so its taken a long time of fighting and figuring out how to swing things.) I remember how exhausting and disheartening it is to be waiting for access to hormones or surgery. I want to acknowledge how hollow it can feel to hear from someone in my position on the other side of that it really is worth all the struggle. Please please don't give up on it. It's so worth it to be who you know you're meant to be and choosing that daily. Much love and support to you!
That's good for you. I'm glad you found yourself on your terms and weren't being "guided" like the adopted boy in that man's video for content. You do you, sorry you can't afford the care that you want. Maybe someday soon!
Two pup-PEAS in a pod. 🥰❤️😍 When I was 13 puberty hit HARD. Suddenly I had boobs. Not buds, giant bazoongas. And just as quickly I started getting unwanted attention from grown men. So I started wearing baggy clothes. And my mother went a little berserk, because I looked "frumpy" and my clothes were "so ugly ". My dad had already lost his mind because I developed, and he started nagging me to lose weight. I wasn't fat, but I didn't realize it. Between the two of them I just felt self-conscious and ugly. Whatever confidence I had (which wasn't much) went out the window. So, yeah, what parents tell their kids is extremely important.
im so sorry dude, u deserve nothing but happiness, success and confidence in yourself. U deserve to be happy and are worthy. Idk you or anything but I do know that you are beautiful and growing up is already painful in itself. u dont deserve that, no one does, but I do hope you realize that u are truly beautiful, no matter what you wear or what others say. Ik u dont know me but everything I just wrote, is true. And i wish u all the best in life, and i hope u are doing good 💕
Parents, siblings, close friends... I'm 44 now; when I was 17, I remember wearing a dress for a wedding. I usually didn't wear dresses or skirts. This one was as normal a dress as a teenager back in the 90s could wear. Yes it close-fitting and I had boobs but it wasn't revealing in anyway (it was a wedding fcs!). My older brother saw me and told me I looked like a whore. I knew I didn't. I know that realistically he wasn't used to seeing me looking like a women. But I never wore that dress ever again and I still think about this words sometimes.
@@Meanne77your older brother was a total douche canoe. I can’t believe a guy would tell anyone they looked like a whore, but especially his younger sister?? That’s awful. I’m so sorry your dad said things to you that made you feel fat and your brother was a jerk and your mom nagged you about your clothes. Other folks’ bodies are NONE OF ANYONE’S BUSINESS! I hope you know there is nothing wrong with you.
Because growing boobs during puberty is "weight gain", yeah right. Literally normal human biology. My mother also gave me hell about my clothes being ugly, frumpy, or inappropriate, she would even tell me my friends looked like prostitutes. Unless she chose my clothes for me, she wouldn't be seen in public with me and shamed me in front of family and strangers alike. I'm older now, and I've since told her if she doesn't like how I look or how I act, she's free to leave. Because I don't actually like being around her, so her deciding not to be seen with me is like being told you have the day off work but still get paid LOL! I have even excused her out the door from a gathering at my house for her inappropriate behavior of loudly judging me. She was shocked, but for the most part, I think I embarrassed her so much that she has mostly stopped acting that way publicly and waits until we're alone, which is progress.

Goals.

The guy with the lonely aging neighbor made me actually bawl. That. That is my role model. That is the man I want to be.
Same.
Then start to be it. It's free to be compassionate to others, right now. It doesn't need to be big gestures, and it doesn't need to come at your inconvenience, but compassion is free and always a choice.
same, i'm weeping and my cat is confused
NO GENUINELY, ME TOO. THE MOMENT HE SAID THAT I STARTED BAWLING AS WELL AWHH
It's been 10 years since my grandma died of Alzheimer's and I still have literal nightmares over sundowing
@@ladydemandoit’s terrifying what the human body/brain can do to itself
@@sunny_h3ad It absolutely is, and I applaud this man for handling this with such compassion
Hell even without Alzheimer's older ppl don't sleep much and are lonely

I am crying too ❤
As someone of the... let's just say, socially dense variety...I probably wouldn't have been as understanding in that situation, so that video was comforting, but also really humbling.
This is my RUclips crack....about to spend 20 minutes of my company's money taking a break and watching this. Thanks Dustin!

It was dark blue fading into light blue with silver sparkles woven in and I really liked it, and this guy MADE FUN OF ME until I straight up told him
“Ok dude, I, unlike YOU, don’t have anything else to change into, so do you want me to just go home? Because I’m not cool with you just making fun of me all night.”
And he STFU, but needless to say after that I wasn’t going to wear that sweater around him, or anyone else because I now felt so insecure in it, so I gave it to the Salvation Army after that.
If you’re interested, I looked things up quickly and I found:
𖦹 _ERL Gradient Sweater_ ($600) is more dark blue to black, no silver sparkles/shimmer, quite pricey
𖦹 _Rodier Tie & Dye Cashmere Jumper in Royal Blue_ ($150~200) might be closer in terms of gradient, no silver sparkles/shimmer
𖦹 _Forever 21 Fuzzy Ombre Cropped Sweater_ ($40), has silver sparkles/shimmer, color wise is more sky blue to white, cropped style
I hope you find the perfect partner (if needed) and sweater for you! ᯓ⚝

Didn't love the intonations, but loved the effort he put in and proposing in her native tongue to make her feel special
@@Salicat99 that’s so cool lmao
Propofol made my pre-op world into an M. C. Escher painting, all in slow motion. Like something from Inception lol.
Thank goodness, I don’t want any breakthrough memories!
✨FORGET✨
That explains why I forgot temporarily my conversations with my mom before being transferred to a permanent room and the movement from the OR. I wasn’t under for very long the first time I was under (only one wisdom tooth removed), so 5+ hours definitely was different.
Also my dad turns into a big old teddy bear. FYI he is 6’3” 200 lbs ish dude who sport a very thick beard most of the time. He is a classic bear but not gay.
I was put under for surgery a few years ago and when I woke up I continued the conversation with the nurse from where we had left off and she was like, "how do you remember???" XD

Even if it turns out to not be your thing for one reason or another after all, you'll know that for certain because ✨you tried✨
Everyone wears things they don't end up loving at some time in their lives, that's life and that's ok.

That guy.
I really hope they pressed charges for as.ault on a minor.

20:26 he confidently called her 🧢 because he never plans something that far in advance 😭😂
Honestly that’s valid though 😂

Love how the girl is like "Okay, it's your job so you had to" and the dude is still pampering her because it wasn't his girlfriend he kissed.
Hell yeah.. “Exposing” good people out here like pulling the mask off of the villain in Scooby Doo! Lol i love these videos 😆
I'll never get over the look on the post surgery guy's face when he finds out he married the woman who picks him up afterward. Love it!
11:37 Mr. Shinny Mind, Chrome Cranium 😂😂😂
That MAN at 15:50, with the Granny, my God, what an amazing soul.
Omg yea and the way she realized what she was doing was so sweet!
What a great story. I hope you are able to get the care you need soon. Thank you for sharing, you’re a brave soul. ❤❤❤❤
That's good for you. I'm glad you found yourself on your terms and weren't being "guided" like the adopted boy in that man's video for content.
You do you, sorry you can't afford the care that you want. Maybe someday soon!
Wish you the best!
Flag guy....youve shared so much hurt from your past...thanks for your honesty and glad to see you doing so well in life through all those struggles.
Two pup-PEAS in a pod. 🥰❤️😍
When I was 13 puberty hit HARD.
@@Meanne77 OMG, that's awful! Of course, he was speaking from his own discomfort, but it's the kind of thing that stays with you. 😔
7:55 I GIFT YOU A VIRTUAL HUG!🤗 Hey Green Flag Guy, I just wanted to reach out and say that your story really resonated with me. It takes a lot of courage to try something new, especially when it’s out of your comfort zone, and I admire how you shared that moment of bravery with us. I know it can be tough to look back on things and have regrets, but even though you threw the shirt and photo away, the memory and the growth from that experience still live on. That moment showed how strong and willing you were to step out of the box, and that’s something to be proud of. You’ve come so far, and the fact that you’re still reflecting on your past only shows how much more you’ll continue to grow. Thanks for sharing your vulnerability-it helps more people than you know, including me.😅
P.S, I know you probably won’t read this but I just wanted to take the time to let you know that you are not alone.😊
💙💙💙
I'm sorry that someone ruined your experience of trying something new. You're bold, brave, and appreciated for being you.
Also, anyone born on Halloween is extra awesome. We make people jealous 🎂🎃🎉 Happy belated birthday!
that man with the old lady, was soooooo extremely understanding and like you said, finally understood what was going on. the patience and understanding he expresses says so much of his character
yup calmness in a situation like what you described is what helps people not freak out and manage the situation
Why am I sobbing at the guy saying the old lady can come over for wine?!! Literally the most heartwarming and selfless thing I have seen. Especially towards a person who had probably given him so much grief. 😢❤❤
You bring me so much joy. Watching you react to videos is just great. Please know you make. HUGE difference in people lives. I’ve been I a very bad depression but you broke through it. I’m so glad to have found your channel. Please be blessed. Hugs to you & your family
i love the laughter of the woman whos boyfriend is an actor.
true happiness right there
Omg the neighbor with the old lady made me cry!!!!! How sweet of him to realize she was just lonely and to offer to be there for her! 💜
This is the most wholesome channel I've come across in a long time, thank you :)
keep doing this dustin, if you can. you created a community just sharing stories.and learning from each other. youre such a beautiful person. thank you for your work. and be careful with that bloody pole. goodness (im a mom so it im like "stop running around with a big stick if youve got no training"
The guy inviting the old neighbor to just chill when she's lonely was the best thing I've seen in such a long time.
I laughed for 5 solid minutes when the husband thought it was a covid test. Oh, bless his soul!
The neighbor made me cry so hard. He has been dealing with so much because of that lady, but he was talking to her and processing what all had gone on and realized, oh hell, she needs to talk to somebody. And THEN! Then he decided to be that person. I want to be like him.
The guy that got Taco Bell also just in case gave me the fuzzies. My bf ALWAYS goes to extra food places if they didn't have what I wanted to the point where he'll be gone for 2 hours just to find a place with a working shake machine. I recognize all his green flags while watching these videos. How can you not smile at these? Fake question, you can't.
You're right about the husband not really wanting to switch drinks. He clearly saw the expression on her face and knew she wanted his drink 😂
