All the players on optic are top tier and about as high as you can get as it is. It's just theres teams just as competitive now. It's not a optic stomps or complexity stomps anymore
@Jesus Mfing christ Cant be on top forever my dude. You had impact, unstoppable for a year for two. Then complexity came along. So they was unstoppable for 2-3 years. Then optic has been dominate ever since except the last game and some in IW. Maybe its optics "end" of their era of being dominate. Teams simply just can not be at the top forever. The competition WILL catch up and be as good or better then you. As of right now, they have some of the best players on their team. So no real need to change that. And look back at IW, optic wasnt even really recognized as a top dog there but they ended up finally winning champs. So who knows. Maybe they're do that same exact thing.

No excuses, Gen G wanted the win more than OG and it showed. Gen G were the better team this series, but that's partially because OG dropped the ball and started losing steam mid-series. I'd still put OG as the #2 team in the game rn.
It's frustrating because they ran thru EU and took down Faze in a close series, but that momentum fizzled out during the Gen G series. Like come on, how the hell did you let Majormaniac get a 1v4 in that game 2?
I was hella pissed last nite, so much so that I turned off the stream and didn't watch the grand final until they put it up on YT. I'm over it now, but man, the level of disappointment I felt when OG lost was on another level. Haven't felt this disappointed since WWII champs tbh.
For example that 2nd hardpoint, HOW DO YOU LET THAT HAPPEN? They had GenG 100 down and won by like 6 points

Gen G wanted it more and played hard for their win. I won't take anything away from them, but OG really did throw away what could've been a 3-1series win. That game 2 was the nail in the coffin imo. Things began to snowball after that.

The hate for scump is unjustified this tournament. He’s not the best saug but he definitely clutched up many moments and helped this team a lot. U can’t do anything in that round 10 scump has to defuse or kill envoy whose to far. So bound it loose. That hacienda round 5v5 ugh scump he got jaded so easily. They should pushed with him. I barely see optic with trophies is it just me.
I believe only Crim runs a trophy and IMO he had a Terrible event not Seth. He isn't as good up close as Octane, Maux are with ICRs.
Im going for the insane swap to change crim with saug and scump with icr considering that idk how well scump is with icr and crim is just trash with an icr

Crim played pretty good IMO it’s just he can’t hang with double icr in 100t. My main issue is they don’t break hilld group rather separately which feeds unnecessary streaks
The only one I feel that didn’t perform well was crimsix. Karma had an ok tournament but to me it was like crim was like non existent in the tournament

Batallion is the trashiest game I’ve ever fucking seen
Some people argue that since Battalion is similar to SnD, that it helps them improve. The fact is that the maps and mechanics are different, and don’t transfer directly. I really don’t think OG playing B44 is the only reason they lost rounds this tournament, but you can see how much 100T improved their SnD by scrimming it and broadening their map pool. I love OpTic, but they really need to work out some kinks if they want to earn another event win imo.
It seems like this happens every yr lol. They lose focus right before an event and it shows. Hardpoint was brutal & so many game 5s was eventually going to catch up to them

1st or not, OpTic’s consistent high placings simply shows that they are a top tier team in the game. No need to tell them to drop a player because they just had an off event. EVERY player will have an off event. The guys just gotta touch up on HP and SnD and they’ll be back in Vegas form. I’m happy with TJ and Scump stepping it up this event because they looked deadly on the map 👏🏼. Heads up and prep for the next event!

Man, this was a hard series to watch. Gutted about how some of those SnD rounds turned out. GG’s GenG.
Only positive I draw is that the mistakes OG made hopefully push them to put in the extra work leading up to Miami. Honestly hard to say “regain” when it feels like the same story after every event, though. Obviously nothing is perfect, but you can’t make so many little mistakes against top tier teams, or you go home.
The whole weekend was weird i felt. From the start falling down 0-2 to Units they always seem to have shitty Maps in every series. There Hardpoint was very weak. Terrible Rotations.
Sports Fan_91: Agree. They had their moments during a few Hardpoints, including the first half of this series’ Game 4. But then they lose composure for a second and almost allow an insane comeback (not even on Seaside). I don’t even know what happened during the match versus UNITS, tbh. Can’t have shaky jitters at the start of an event, period. If OG had failed that reverse sweep, and Pool A had been as competitive as Pool B, it could have been a Loser’s Bracket run. Can’t give any slack in this height of competition!
That said the main problem with optic fans is the amount of bipolar immature and cringe u all are. The optic fans that actually go watch jumping up and down, smacking their chests and high fiving after they win is the cringiest shit.. they are fully grown men like don't u struggle to support a team with such a awful vocal fanbase?

Meh. Im an Optic, Faze and 100T fan so whatever but sucks they lost. There basically the MJ 96 Bulls(Basketball if you don't know) where there legacy already cemented. Optic the biggest brand name in Call of Duty and nothing will ever change that. I don't know if Optic has the firepower in HP to beat Faze, EU & Especially 100T consistently. Dashy & TJ are nasty but one of the other 3 always struggle vs the top teams (Especially Crim V Octane).. I love Karma but swapping him for Gunless would make them 100T level for firepower.
The issue with 100t is definitely holding hardpoint against them. They too strong breaking the hold especially on map 4. Map 1 they usually start off slow
It’s tough, because any of OG’s five can go off and blow a HP game wide open. They just don’t really do it as consistently as players like Priestahh, Arcitys, Octane, skrapz, etc, with the exception for Dashy.
As for the Gunless, though, I have to disagree. Karma’s play is easy to undervalue imo, and I honestly feel like Pierce would have a negative impact on team vibes. Maybe it’s just the fact that he’s had such a rough run of it this season, but his negativity permeates the room when things don’t go his team’s way. His gunskill is obviously insane, but I think OG’s team vibes are better now than they have been in quite a while, and changing it seems like a bad idea. Maybe I’m wrong, though 😔.

And i agree Karma is so valuable and Gunless clearly has attitude issues but Optic needs that extra boost in respawns to beat these top teams and he would be that. Realistically, Hector's Optic shouldn't be making a change. All these people saying they need one are deluded. Gen G had an unreal tournament, and if we are bein honest, optic did get pretty unlucky in that snd. So many timings went the way of Gen G. In that fourth round of the SnD, Maux completely misplays it and gets so lucky twice and gets streaks off the back of it. If that doesn't happen, Optic win the series.
I have asked this plenty of times but is Karma blind in one of his 2 eyes... The amount of times he doesnt see someone on the map is absurd.... 33:03 is the funniest part of this whole series... They beat Faze x2, EUnited & should have beat GenG but threw away a 4v1 which cost them Map 2 and a chance at goin up 2-0.. they are fine. Just need to cut small mistakes.
