Highlight Reel: Project Sada Shakti

Through rePurpose Global’s Impact Project Sada Shakti, we have set out to solve the plastic waste problem in Bengaluru, India’s Garden City and fastest growing technology hub. The project is on a mission to collect over 50 million lbs of plastic waste across Bengaluru over the next ten years.
By collaborating with the Town Municipal Corporations (TMC) to engage the services of the existing collection staff in the city, the project has brought together waste management entrepreneurs and local resources to develop a unique, community-led approach for the region. In addition to incentivizing the collection of ‘neglected' low value plastic the support provided here also helps waste workers receive increased incomes, health insurance, new hygiene facilities, safety training, protective gear and more.
