Murphy and a partner had a comedy diving board act they'd do at different Hotel pools up and down the beach. I got to acquainted with him that way. To make a long story short, after a show he offered me and the uncle's nephew who was also working there, $100 to drive a new model Lincoln Continental into Government Cut, which is the port Inlet for Miami. It was very accessible back then. The uncle (and my boss) somehow found out about it and scolded the both of us and told us to give Murphy back his money saying: "That Murphy is no good, how do you know what's in the trunk of that car?" He also banned Murphy frim the hotel.

I mean any pro that came from the west coast of fl is a miracle and hence the #1 surfer in the world. His dad is in the hall of fame though, so I guess that helped. I’m from where Kelly slater grew up so to me he is also the #1 surfer in the world
Usually it’s bs but for us younger kids if they cancel you you literally could lose your job and livelihood, especially if you work for a big company, they rather fire a dude than anger the internet mob rule
I just emailed Laird and told him i was cancelled and he said I could hang out with him and Gabby any time, so I guess I don't need back into being uncancelled. . He doesn't know me at all but he said he thinks I sound like a really cool guy and we are going to Nazare together to be the first to water ski there when it's glass.
