No birds chirping means theres an npc near by. And some npcs can read everything yall say and dont type in all caps bc that will agrivate npcs and possesed ppl will type like th1s or t.h.i.s
It’s usually only mother who can read team chat, and it takes a while for possessed people to get fully possessed and type like that, and after some time they’ll probably leave
I know you may have gotten them(and as of now i haven't watched the full vid) But i have a tip! Im definitely not an exp hunter, but what i do know is that the npc hunting saftey thingie i read(on the same thing you got the chant) js that you should have in-game music off when hunting! It may be for audio cues, but it also may be a reguired feature to summon all npcs(I'm not sure) After progressing a bit more: Again, im not rlly an EXP hunter but i think(and I remember reading a bit of her Wiki) i think mother just spawns if you anger one of her children? I'm rlly sure who the others are, but i do know Luna is one of them! Also, side note abt possession: I don't think dat(but I'm not 100% sure) the barn twins can't posses ppl, so i think the black screen is a glitch or you somehow summoned a diff NPC? It started because of a creepypasta blink joke from wolf42 it was their oc (Not trying to be rude or anything im just making sure your aware)

You neeed to hide in barn not shed.
The barn twins can catch them if they were to hide in the barn unless it's part of the chant
