  • On day 2 of former police officer Derek Chauvin’s trial, eyewitness on the scene Donald Williams says that he “called the police on the police,” because he believed he “witnessed a murder.” When asked why he didn’t speak to an officer on the scene he says he didn’t feel a connection of a “human being relationship.” Aired on 03/30/2021.

      @kanuk the hunter unresponsive for 2 minutes, pulse checked and none found. Continued to kneel on his neck. Can you provide a reason to continue restraining a handcuffed person with no pulse? A person who has not already been deprived of oxygen can die after four minutes of no oxygen. You really believe he died at the hospital? You disbelieve the medical examiners? Your bias and odd, desperate desire for this to not be the fault of the cop is causing you to make illogical statements and ignore reality. Think. Thought I was somehow being the racist one here. Curious if the medical examiners declared Prince or Michael Jackson to have died by asphyxiation as the medical examiners here did. Not saying that his death broke me doesn't mean it didn't. Perhaps if you sought to understand or ask why you'd have made a different response. I was broken because the content of the call recalled the trauma of seeing Mr. Floyd being murdered and calling for his mother. I empathized with the impassioned plea of one man for the life of another brother. His willingness to risk himself to call the police murderers was selfless & risky but he stood his ground. Lastly it reminded me of a trauma I experienced having called 911 to report witnessing someone shoot himself in the head and watching him die while powerless to change the situation.

      People were standing close to the cops while they were doing it and talking to the cops while they were doing it. They were pleading with the cops and screaming at them and yet the cops would not relent.
      This was seen around the world and protest was spreading around the world over this and over the way the US was treating black people. The MAGA President called in troops against the protestors. He called the protestors, terrorists. Soon after that, his followers made insurrection against the American government, killing and causing the death of a number of people. He would not even call out the National Guard to curtail the storming of the US Capitol.
      And he would not call those right wing militias, terrorists.
      The City of DC and Mike Pence had to call in help over the President's deadish body. That's how the insurrection riot was stopped. After it was being brought to and end, He put out word for his people to go home. They obeyed him and left the Capitol and went to their various homes.
      The Republicans in the Senate kept him from justice by refusing to carry out their sworn duty, siding with him against the American people--defying their solemn oats that they had made before the eyes of the Most High.
      After this, they continued to declare before the world that they were, Christians.

      It's not the same at all. And it does not completly absolve the officer if its accepted that he died from something other than the knee on his back and neck. Remember that Floyd was initially acting irrationally in his panic of being placed in the car, which supports the defense's claim that drugs were playing a part. Considering the medical examiner said there was no physical signs of not being able to breath, such as bruising or hemorrhaging, are other supporting evidence that the pinning was not the cause of death.
      Regardless of what caused the death though, the officers had a duty of care to Floyd as soon as he was in custody. That duty included making sure he was physically ok, and rendering aid as necessary, including following policy of placing him in a recovery position and not kneeling on him in that manner, which is very dangerous. By failing in that city, especially when reminded by witnesses and the rookie officer, it shows a willful negligence, which will get him a murder conviction.

How would you react if you were treated like that for a 20 $ bill you didn't even know was forged? Besides, it is only alleged forged. Was it eventually found forged ? Could anyone provide the information? Floyd may have died on false charges.

    • @ezcoach5733
      @ezcoach5733 3 года назад +6

      @@sergio4740 You should get some more info on the events, and education on the legal system. Floyd was arrested initially, and was cooperative. It was only as he was being placed in the car that he started to freak out. And not just a panic, but irrational. That was why the officers, on their body cam, were talking about him appearing to be in Excited Delerium. *side note: Excited Delerium is a medical emergency, and their actions of putting him on his belly and pinning him were not at all consistent with training on detaining a person exhibiting that behaviour.**
      As for the arrest on the forged bill, it doesn't matter if it ended up being forged or not, or his knowledge of it or not. An arrest is not made when you have proof beyond reasonable doubt. That is only a conviction. An arrest can be made when an officer has probable cause that an offence occurred. To quantify that, it's more than a hunch, but less than a balance of probabilities (ie less than 50% sure). The arrest can be made to gather evidence and ensure the subject is identified prior to release, and can be held for a time as the officer continues to investigate. In this case, the store called about a forged bill, they are shown how to detect forgeries. They tell the officer what happened and that Floyd was the one who presented the bill. The bill can be seen and examined to see if it appears forged. Since it did, they can arrest him so they can search for more bills. They can take him to their car or station to identify him and issue court documents. If he requested a lawyer, they can take him to the station where he can have a private phone call to speak to his lawyer. There are several reasons why the arrest was lawful. At the very least, they would not carry release documents on their person and would need to take Floyd back to their car to gather his ID and issue release documents, which would require securing him in the car.
      As for what I would do if arrested, I'd be upset, but I would cooperate. It can be settled in court. I'm certainly not going to wait until I'm handcuffed, then walked all the way back to the car, then freak out because I dont want to sit in the car. The vast majority of people arrested do this. But his actions were irrational once at the car. Which supports the ME's findings that he had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system. Both can cause a psychotic break at any time.

    His reaction to his own 911 call was very telling. Witnessing a murder by a police officer and not being able to do anything about it, you call another police officer because you feel completely hopeless. He had to re-live through this traumatic event by listening to his own 911 call and couldn’t hold back his tears. My eyes got watery watching him wiping his tears so i can’t even imagine what this was like for him during his testimony.

I know George made a lot of poor choices and terrible mistakes in his life, but no one, and I mean no one deserves to be put down like a junkyard dog. Hopefully the jury does the right thing and convict him (Derek) of second degree murder and every other cop present should be convicted of aiding and abetting that murder. Justice needs to be served

Floyd told many times, " I can not breath", and the police just hold his knee at the same place, until he died , Second degree I belive one must say about those other police- who stod near and did nothing to stop it. Most likely he had seen this type of thing before. Not the same exact actions but the death and/or crime of violence. Considering the neighborhood, it is a high probability he has witnessed things similar. New video shows the officer actually had his knee on his shoulder blade but the angle everyone gets to see in the media makes it look like it was on his neck. Even the prosecution has changed from knee on neck to knee on back. Not to take anything away from this but he had three and a half times the level of overdose fentanyl in his blood. That restricts breathing. Before being takin to the ground he was saying he was dying and couldn't breath. Then he was kicking the officers. So far I do not see murder. I could see manslaughter or indifference to human life. Still much to sift through but the officer does have responsibility here.

    • @rayhiros
      @rayhiros 3 года назад +3

      @River Paz A snitch is someone who tells authorities that a friend or college is doing something bad.
      Telling the police that the police is doing something bad would only be snitching if the witness himself was part of the police team.
      The noble comes therefore more from the simple fact that it needs courage to call authority on authority, because live learns you from the moment you are being a child, that authorities almost every time help each other rather then held each other accountable.
      This starts with parents who believe other parents over the children, to teacher and schoolboard believing each other over student to in this case police believing police officer over some citizen.
      I hope this could clear why this can be seen as noble.

      @River Paz Again, people from school and the street or any place with some kind of honor codex can explain that to snitch only counts if you are part of that said group. In this case, the police or family of Floyd and so on.
      A witness is not the same as a snitch, for the witness not being part of the groups in question.
      Otherwise everyone would be a snitch by default who calls the police.
      Snitching is most of the time seen as an act of betray. Which would not fit to the relationship between police officer and random citizen. A stranger can't betray you if he met you at this point for the first time etc.

    • @rayhiros
      @rayhiros 3 года назад

      @River Paz I doubt that. Especially in the case that your definition does not preclude my definition, or vis versa.
      But well, you asked for clarification and I delivered. If you are not happy about it, that is okay and you can accept it or not.
      I just wanted to educate someone who has clearly no experience with slang from the "street culture" if you want to call it like this.
      Have a nice.

    • @tragene2250
      @tragene2250 3 года назад

      @@rayhiros That's not noble. Noble is calling the police for crimes regardless of who it is. The snitch culture covers anyone in the hood that talks to police. Whether they know the people or not personally. Noble is calling the police when there is a crime even when you may be afraid of retaliation, helping to keep your good neighbors safe, etc., not looking the other way because you are afraid. But then calling the police on the police because you know there will be no push back isn't noble. He just wanted to speak his mind about the situation and I see nothing wrong with that from his perspective.

It could be your kid or your father and our collective indoctrination has crippled us to where it controls and compels us to do naught but whimper, wring our hands, and wail out loud...but NOT to physically intervene, even when an especially cruel cold deliberate murder is done before our eyes. Not on pain of death do we intervene.
    This does more than demonstrate the evil that is given sanction by our system. This demonstrates how we too are broken, and in our own way complicit in it.
    We are even waiting for our betters that rule us to affirm that this was indeed murder, just so we have authoritative confirmation that what we believe is valid.
    We’ve lost our souls somewhere along the way. Slim hope we’ll ever get it back if this cage we live in isn’t torn down and cast into the abyss. Alas, all we fools do is talk about how to repair it.. the result of which will only make it a stronger cage.

    This man is being made to feel he's on trial. He's only a witness. Normal citizens don't understand the law and how it is applied. This is why we're usually manipulated by these questions. Sometimes it's not about the truth...it's about lawyers winning a case. The prosecutor has to be smarter and get a conviction if the law has been broken.
