The line "he looks at the dark and then to you the same way." Is profoundly terrifying to me. He knows some way or another he's likely going to die here, or even worse, that he sees living just as horrible as the death he's dangling above
Easily in my top 5 deltarune secret boss themes! Not a single part of this song sounds anything less than amazing, keep up the absolutely incredible work!
Yknow, I wasnt sure how to put this into words before, but I love how this song really feels like a race against the clock. You don't know how long those strings are going to last, and if you want to save Conner, you're going to need to get him down before they give way. Same goes for if you wanted to kill him yourself, instead of just letting him drown.
eitherway, he's already a goner so saving him had no purpose. and that's what makes him incredibly interesting he somewhat follows the "your choices don't matter" line from the start which is the whole premise of deltarune so no matter what you choose, it's pointless. he's already gone also him attempting suicide a second time is so fucked up - i saw a comment from the creator themselves that it felt sutble, as in his death wasn't noticable and wants to try again because he really wants himself gone
Genocide text Nine balloons nine lives All the more to ruin Conner tried to scream, but you ignored him The wind is howling Howling with screams Howling in suffering Conner glares to the water, then looks at you the same way, but worse LETS SHARE MY FATE TOGETHER Just a hat left Pick it up? 【Yes]
Very early to this banger :0 Just made a realization The line "Conner tried to scream, but nobody heard him" is interesting cuz like Did he actually scream? Why couldn't be heard, the Fun Gang is right there? Idk I think it'z koolio
It's because he's most likely an copy-cat of Pete from Steamboat Willy. Also, old cartoons didn't talk for the most part, so it's technically more like an "I try to scream but I had no mouth" type of thing.
@@Former_time_all_around I mean, leitmotifs don't really have a "canon" name. People realized that both secret bosses talked about freedom, and in their fights the text says "The air crackles with freedom", so people decided to relate them to freedom. And you have to admit that "The freedom leitmotif" sounds better than "the secret boss leitmotif".
The freedom motif is hidden REALLY well here. Honestly makes it feel like Conner lost his shot at freedom. Something like it being more prominent with Jevil [that being his main motif] because he found his freedom, and with Spamton [who has the motif prominent in the middle of the song] because he's basically on the verge of his freedom. Conner meanwhile just wants to not deal with the knowledge. Guy doesn't want to be free and suppresses the motif down into his own. If anyone doesn't know where the motif is btw, it starts at the cut to the main art from the battle at 0:55 and ends at the cut back to the battle at 1:20 It's hard to tell that it's even the Freedom Motif at all since it's mixed in surprisingly well, but it has the same general rhythm and such. The "Don't Forget" motif is ALSO here which I think is fun [starts at around 2:10 at the cut to the main art again]
Let me get this straight Some person was told about the secrets of the world and this cat became depressed as hell so he wants to kill himself now but the fun gang will not do that so they try to make him resist the death he will be in and he doesn’t like that so he will try attacking you? Y’know, that is something I would be depressed to. I mean that’s depressing
I like the idea so much! it's such an original concept and I like his description as a character. Besides, he's so cute :') And as always, your animation is amazing. great job!
2:09 *here's the light is always low, and the shadows never grow, and those places that i know, seem so co-lour-less. But here comes light inside your soul, that can back colours to home, with a howl-ing freedom in our hearts.
I went far enough to make a way to unlock him: 1:there is a weapon called the reel gun, you have to find it 2:there may be a way to get on the boat, but without the reel, you can't find Conner,if you do,then you prevent him from...canceling himself by trapping him in the reel 3:beat a boss by only fighting, then go back to the boat, and go to a city with a store, then buy ballons and a video player, then go back on the boat, and for 19 seconds and 28 milliseconds, go to edge of the boat, with the reel equipped, then kris will accidentally put there balloon, reel, and video player in the water, starting the boss

I imagine unlike the others, this dude would talk in a plain, lowercase font. Not too disimilar to sans, but with a more somber tone to it. - "just leave me be already" - "kris, why did you do this to us?" - "the day that man arrived, he promised me freedom" -"whats the point of freedom though if there aint anywhere to be free?'
i'm gonna steal this from another comment i imagine that the dialogue box would appear, but instead of text appearing, a voice line would play and the box would remain empty
This is my FAVORITTEEEEEE fan-made deltarune secret boss song. Some other fan themes can be so fast and intense, and while this does have intense parts, it feels like it more focuses on slow and VERY good melodies. Some of the harmonies are SOGUIAHDFUIAHD good oh my goodness. It's ear candy.
this theme actually goes so hard and the concept is so smart. i also love conner's design!! that tune you made for his motif is actually so bouncy and catchy, im going to be listening to this on loop for awhiiiiiile
The fact that this a truely creative interpretation of the leitmotifs of Deltarune is my favorite part. Most boss AU people take a melody, throw the FREEDOM motif in there for effect, and call it a day. BUT NO. You actually took what you were given, and made something genuinely original from it. And for that, I applaud you. ❤
also i will admit i do like the use of the icnonic "the air crackles with freedom" to indicate him being a charecter who encountered the quote "strange man" aka Gaster. mainly because every fight such as Jevil or Spamton NEO had that line in the battle
What would make this even more perfect would be if his text boxes are framed like those old fashioned silent movies when it cuts to a black screen with white text.
Beautiful, love how this is totally original not only in the background and arena, but also of the use of the split soul and character. I'd like to know how you do that animation when you bring Conner or have him flying, it's fantastic.
Dude I can't explain how or why, but you're just really good at composing music you know? It's so unique in it's own way in comparison to other secret boss themes, especially noting the freedom motif. I don't know how to word anything so well, nice job.
Lowkey reminds me of the Suicide Mouse creepypasta in a way. Also added with the fact that it takes inspiration from the Steamboat Willie public domain situation, I could see the Suicide Mouse pasta being a intentional or unintentional reference.
I like the fact that the song is actually a panic, as you're racing against the clock to save Conner Also, why Copy-Cat Panic? I mean the Copy-Cat part, since usually a boss' theme matches their battle, e.g. the world revolving and [[BIG SHOT]]
it would be cool if your team would start to fight against you because they only see you doing bad things to Conner but in reality you are helping him and he makes it look like its bad
is it just me or is the "switch soul" actually supposed to be patience in some weird way? like think about how you dodge the coloured attacks, you stay still for em. even then we already have blue attacks outside of battles with the split soul thingy and it may just be because of switch joy con colour and all of that but still, something about it just calls to me.
Either the "Joy" soul (haha joystick pun), or the Dancing trait soul, because the movement in the mad mew mew fight makes it look like we're moving our soul as feet on a dance floor.
Patience might be the battle box being like a grid and then you dodge Attacks by moving along the tiles (see that one Alphys NEO attack) and Bravery might be dashing/phasing through attacks (ala Undertale Yellow)
By the way, i'm not going to make a full deltarune take, i just thought the concept was neat, and wanted to do it

I'll just say this, i color picked the balloons from the classmates in the light world (Including Kris and Susie)
then who the gray one@@bluelonerwolf

Ohhh
dude the more i rewatch this over and over again i begin to notice really clever details
i love how you gave him 9 balloons because cats are believed to have 9 lives, when i found out about it i started freaking out
anyways blue, i really really love yours songs, covers... just everything you do so much especially conner
i hope you expand on conner if you have the time to i need to see more of him
The line "he looks at the dark and then to you the same way." Is profoundly terrifying to me. He knows some way or another he's likely going to die here, or even worse, that he sees living just as horrible as the death he's dangling above
worst part is that he's already dead he's just attempting this again because it felt subtle, he thought he was still alive
Aw heck naw... Pete from Steamboat Willy became a reference to a creepypasta...
He never was the same after peg left him for goofy...
Same goes for if you wanted to kill him yourself, instead of just letting him drown.
eitherway, he's already a goner so saving him had no purpose. and that's what makes him incredibly interesting
he somewhat follows the "your choices don't matter" line from the start which is the whole premise of deltarune
so no matter what you choose, it's pointless. he's already gone
also him attempting suicide a second time is so fucked up - i saw a comment from the creator themselves that it felt sutble, as in his death wasn't noticable and wants to try again because he really wants himself gone

The wind is howling

Howling in suffering

【Yes]
Very early to this banger :0
Just made a realization
The line "Conner tried to scream, but nobody heard him" is interesting cuz like
Did he actually scream? Why couldn't be heard, the Fun Gang is right there?
Idk I think it'z koolio
It's because he's most likely an copy-cat of Pete from Steamboat Willy.
Also, old cartoons didn't talk for the most part, so it's technically more like an "I try to scream but I had no mouth" type of thing.
Because only kris and us can hear him
Yknow, old animations.
No colors, no sound...NO ESCAPE
like "SantimsAnimations" said, only us and kris hear him. you can see that in the description of the video
@@ssamuueel But Kris is somebody and is standing right there too
I'm the freedom leitmotif finder.
The freedom leitmotif is at 2:33
Until we meet again.
Bruh, there's no any "freedom" leitmotif in deltarune
@@Former_time_all_around It's the name that the community has given to the secret boss leitmotif.
@@Freedomleitmotiffinder but this is not canon name
@@Former_time_all_around I mean, leitmotifs don't really have a "canon" name.
People realized that both secret bosses talked about freedom, and in their fights the text says "The air crackles with freedom", so people decided to relate them to freedom.
And you have to admit that "The freedom leitmotif" sounds better than "the secret boss leitmotif".
@@Freedomleitmotiffinder actually this leitmotif IS have canon name. "THE WORLD REVOLVING"
If anyone doesn't know where the motif is btw, it starts at the cut to the main art from the battle at 0:55 and ends at the cut back to the battle at 1:20
It's hard to tell that it's even the Freedom Motif at all since it's mixed in surprisingly well, but it has the same general rhythm and such.
The "Don't Forget" motif is ALSO here which I think is fun [starts at around 2:10 at the cut to the main art again]
It's easier to hear the freedom motif when it comes back up the second time, at 2:38 ish, which continues to the end.
It's not Jevil's main motif??? Jevil's main motif is the part at the beginning of the song, right before the freedom part.
Huh, I thought the freedom motif was more prominent than the intro part with the pan flute-

Let me get this straight
Some person was told about the secrets of the world and this cat became depressed as hell so he wants to kill himself now but the fun gang will not do that so they try to make him resist the death he will be in and he doesn’t like that so he will try attacking you?
Y’know, that is something I would be depressed to. I mean that’s depressing
I like the idea so much!
it's such an original concept and I like his description as a character. Besides, he's so cute :')
And as always, your animation is amazing. great job!
genuinely a pretty unique take for a secret boss! I absolutely love his designs and his concept :D aLSO THE MUSIC SLAPS >:D
2:09 *here's the light is always low, and the shadows never grow, and those places that i know, seem so co-lour-less. But here comes light inside your soul, that can back colours to home, with a howl-ing freedom in our hearts.
this is such a gem!! in the domain of fan secret bosses this really feels like something really fresh, super inspired :D
I went far enough to make a way to unlock him:
1:there is a weapon called the reel gun, you have to find it
2:there may be a way to get on the boat, but without the reel, you can't find Conner,if you do,then you prevent him from...canceling himself by trapping him in the reel
3:beat a boss by only fighting, then go back to the boat, and go to a city with a store, then buy ballons and a video player, then go back on the boat, and for 19 seconds and 28 milliseconds, go to edge of the boat, with the reel equipped, then kris will accidentally put there balloon, reel, and video player in the water, starting the boss
YESSs omg more secret bosses!! and this one is CCATTTTT
i really like how the song is accompanied with so much artwork and even a special attack
this inspires me to finish my stuff. reminds me of why i wanted to make a secret boss..

Burgerpants' depression as a darkner.
Burgerpants but it's mad mew mew
I really like this, the animation, the music, the everything! Also the way he frowns in contrast to the previous superbosses is definitely an extremely interesting idea.
I imagine unlike the others, this dude would talk in a plain, lowercase font. Not too disimilar to sans, but with a more somber tone to it.
- "just leave me be already"
- "kris, why did you do this to us?"
- "the day that man arrived, he promised me freedom"
-"whats the point of freedom though if there aint anywhere to be free?'
That dialogue fits very well and make the whole thing more sad
i'm gonna steal this from another comment
i imagine that the dialogue box would appear, but instead of text appearing, a voice line would play and the box would remain empty
Napstablook.
Man your songs are hellishly good, and you managed to make the feeling of panic into an incredible battle theme! Props!
i love how theres like always parts of other themes you have composed to hear
I mean... i referenced undertale motifs, and referenced like 6 secret bosses, 5 of which i have *covered*, not composed
(Note to self)
Composed = self made
covered = own version of someone elses theme/music/etc.
This is by far one of the most creative secret boss ideas I've seen in a while, fantastic job!
*The view radiates with grey
*Conner speaks..or does he?
*PLEASE DONT LEAVE ME
*Your throat gets tight.
*The air crackles with pain.
God damn, this is great, the song, idea and animations are all amazing!
This sounds so sad, yet majestic in a way.
Been part of the tracks i couldn't help but listen to on loop lately. It's really fitting to Deltarune and on many aspects, great job on that :)
Ok memes aside this is golden. I enjoy this lad quite dearly.
poor guy needs his freedom right now
this is easily my favorite fan song so far - it goes so hard, I love it
I love the idea that this song lacks the usual ‘character speaks in the song’ bit
Because this guy’s a silent movie character
0:56 goes hard
"So, how's life?"
"Meaningless."
also i will admit i do like the use of the icnonic "the air crackles with freedom" to indicate him being a charecter who encountered the quote "strange man" aka Gaster. mainly because every fight such as Jevil or Spamton NEO had that line in the battle
Thank you!, this will sound crazy, but i used Gamemaker Studio for the entire animation, i even had to "play" the final attack
@@bluelonerwolf that's neato! The fact you did a no-hit on that shows true dedication on the video!

Overall this is god damn amazing. Keep up the good work blue
Immagine if this guy is toby fox in disguise releasing scraped concepts and cover gas practice
I Wana give him a hug 😢
I like the fact that the song is actually a panic, as you're racing against the clock to save Conner
Also, why Copy-Cat Panic? I mean the Copy-Cat part, since usually a boss' theme matches their battle, e.g. the world revolving and [[BIG SHOT]]
Essentially, he copies other bosses's attacks, but adapted for the switch soul, it's also because he's a bootleg of the steamboat willie cartoon lol
@@bluelonerwolf I kinda like that gimmick. Plus, Conner's whole nature reminds me of So Sorry in a way
it would be cool if your team would start to fight against you because they only see you doing bad things to Conner but in reality you are helping him and he makes it look like its bad
Banger song as always buddy
I love his design and concept.
He looks like he has gone trough some serious and messed up stuff
my mans just wanted to talk
Out of all the chapter 3 fanmade secret bosses.
This is the one i want the most.
Like the song is peak and so is the design.
This dudes designed like a character who'd have a really controversial creator
No idea why just something about it
is it just me or is the "switch soul" actually supposed to be patience in some weird way? like think about how you dodge the coloured attacks, you stay still for em. even then we already have blue attacks outside of battles with the split soul thingy and it may just be because of switch joy con colour and all of that but still, something about it just calls to me.
Maybe the switch soul gimmick would return as a addition for the patience soul.
It would be cool if the patience soul is a rework of the switch soul and the orange one is a Perry/dash
Either the "Joy" soul (haha joystick pun), or the Dancing trait soul, because the movement in the mad mew mew fight makes it look like we're moving our soul as feet on a dance floor.
@@SantimsAnimations Fair. I can certainly understand why. A half soul does kind of look like a foot for some reason.
Patience might be the battle box being like a grid and then you dodge Attacks by moving along the tiles (see that one Alphys NEO attack) and Bravery might be dashing/phasing through attacks (ala Undertale Yellow)
Has anyone else notice that Conners goner form looks kinda like Mouse.avi? (Aka that one mickey mouse creepypasta)
It goes really hard, and I like this funny character design, good job!
i just want to give vonner a hug
This song is so good I can't stop listening to it
Absolute banger, needs more views
also i love the lil guy :D
The flagpost base kinda looks like a hidden Mickey, and the boat could be unsettling, so the line “this steamboat gives me the Willies” could apply.
genuinely super great concept and theme, amazing work
I like the idea, someone rotting out of existence and trying desperately to stop it
this sounds like it would be straight from deltarune
amazing
Thanks, now i can't stop listening to this
this song is so fire that there's a severe forest fire warning in my area 🔥
