Outstanding clip, I wish that I could find the whole movie online!
That woman looks like Mystic Meg. Never known Manchester to be so eerily deserted. Hulme and Kersal were in the operating area of red Manchester buses from Princess Road, and green Salford buses from Frederick Road but none are to be seen except this white Crosville ECW bodied open top Bristol Lodekka.
Thanks for putting this together - very interesting historically
Quite a strange film The White Bus
Yes a very strange movie, It put me into a dream like state while watching it. Most of the scenes was filmed in black and white which gave the movie a depressing outlook. i wonder how did they accomplish making the city streets seem so deserted? notice that guy who was was jogging? i wonder if he was an extra or was he an actual jogger who happened to be captured in the movie on the day.
I know Manchester pretty well which is very interesting to me from a social history point of view, although I haven't bothered to visit for years.@@yell50
those footsteps though, haha! rat a tat tat the soundman made that. Visited Manchester in 2018, stayed Ancoats. Went on a hop on hop off tour bus. Hasn't changed much. Salford, Salford though - cracking. Art Gallery and Lad's Club. Corker! But seriously, if you visit Manchester like I - enter that library they show, go to the reading room, and feast your eyes on the gold-leaf verse emblazoned 360 degrees over and upon it's upper reaches. People of vision and heart the Mancunian. Vision and heart. What bands too.
Top Video Tony..

Patricia Healey (1936 to 2021). Husband still going hard, he's 86 🤗
Strange surreal, but some clever social commentary
Ah, the Central Library main reading room. You could slam a card catalogue drawer and startle someone on the other side of the room. Impressive architecture but not acoustically ideal for a library.
😍😍😍😍😍
sure is mate !
Reminds me of war
God bless their souls, we are looking at dead people walking.
God, those flat dwellings were nothing more than chicken coops.
