Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir - Our Captain Is Here To Stay!

New FC Bayern Women captain Glódís Perla Viggósdóttir has extended her contract with the club till 2026. The 28-year-old Iceland international and recently appointed club captain has been in Munich since summer 2021 and is a key part of coach Alexander Straus’s team.
Viggósdóttir was the only outfield player in the entire Bundesliga to play every minute of last season, playing a crucial role in Bayern’s title success. And that is hopefully just the start. “We’ve begun a really interesting and great process. It’s what I want to continue to be a part of. It’s fantastic that I can stay here for three more years. I’m very happy about it and would like to contribute as much as possible to the team,” the Icelander said.
