My son contacted me to say it had been delivered on the 26th June. In other words I do not get to vote, and I was told I cannot get a proxy vote as I had been granted a postal vote. Is this what passes for democracy.
The grossly excessive postal voting undermines democracy. Polling stations are open long enough, and in enough places, that the vast majority of people can definitely get to them if they really want to. I wonder just how many votes come from certain households where the "man of the house" has made sure that everyone else in it votes the "right way"?

Postal voting should be a very rare occurrence. For those who can get to a polling station SHOULD. Only those who are not in the country IE armed forces or are disabled should be the only ones to use posting ballots. Didital voting is a definite NO NO. Looked what happened in America in 2016, I rest my case.
