I climbed Batian with Gitonga in September 2024. This is one special guy. The G-Man. He ate with me, slept on the bunk next to me and we shared our life and climbing resumes together. His skill, patience and general likeability were something I will always hold dear. Such a special guy. If you ever have the chance to climb with him - take it.
