- The big brake fiasco continues on the pro touring LS3 Camaro. Not even a new set of wheels will allow me to drive this car. I'm not giving up though! More parts are on the way to make it work! In the meantime, I transfrom the front end of this car with some custom harley davidson lighting and paint! Enjoy! I'll be driving this thing soon.....OR ELSE

I had a 68 Camaro which I painted the front grill gloss black. I thought it looked a lot better with the red paint with the gloss black stripes! I have still have a 67 RS/SS 396/4sp vert (triple black w/ white nose stripe). I've been so tempted to restomod it, but it's just too nice and original for me to go nuts with it.
That 5 gen emblem and your choice of placement is hella nice. You’re gonna start a trend with this for sure. It’s simple but looks like it could’ve been factory.

The car stuff is amazing as always, but the video editing you do, and the music are masterful. The way it all just blends together seamlessly....truly impressive. Even though you may go days between one operation and another, it feels like to me you just picked up on it minutes later. Man I wouldn't be cutting up the body trying to make those wheels work. That's a very valuable car. I've learned on many occasions that if you have to start hacking things, it's crap. Just get something that'll work better.
Normally I'd agree but the spoiler was too large on that side. I simply cut a strip off that made it match the driver's side. Nothing else was harmed 🤣
I dont think the bumper is stock, so who cares, can probably replace it pretty cheap.
@@downdabeach that's the thing. The entire front clip is molded together, so if any of it gets damaged I'm screwed lol

Having been a Camaro/Firebird/Corvette guy for many years, I've always wanted to do a '69! Looks really good man! I like the "SS" badge on the side like that too though I probably would have made it blue to match the calipers.

Yeah man literally monday morning I was wiring a halo 80mm switchback halo ring in the park lights. It was a pain with the wiring but it came out looking good. I might end up doing the harley davidson park light mod but after seeing what you had to do im debating on it lol. But I cant lie it looks awsome and it would really match the headlights. Im pretty sure I sent you a pic of the halo headlights I put in on instagram, its a orange convertible camaro. But keep up the great work man. When i figure out the vaccum operated hideaway headlights im gonna get started on the full audio system and the interior. I kinda wanna do a retro 5th gen camaro type of center console but just thinking about the fabrications that will probabable have to be done makes me just want to put back the oem one but i think in the end its work it. Keep up the great work Chris!
Awesome content Chris. As far as the running lights, I did almost the same thing 6 months ago. HD style driving lights with hoods, painted black, except I mounted with the attached single pivot stud that came with the housings. I only had to fab short stock flat bar for support. I’m an EE so I’m always going a little beyond; I made a circuit that automatically turns my drivers on 5 seconds after the car starts, and turns them off 5 seconds after the car is off. The drivers are so bright I sometimes forget to turn the headlights on. Cheers!

On my 68 I have Ridetech spindles , control arms, and tru turn. C6 wheels with 245/40/18 fit with 1” spacer. I’m mini tubbed on the rear so running 305/35/19 on the 10” wheels. .59” spacer on the rear.

At mark 1:33 time stamp when you were lifting up on the right front wheel, I was shocked to see how much the whole car twisted down the fender, rocker, and the whole front clip! you can see the gaps move as the complete car was twisting, I gotta get on whatever

Car looks sick! I usually see that kind of hazing when there is too much humidity in the air when using spray cans cause you're not mixing the reducer for the temps/humidity like a spray gun.

I hate paining. I always get reactions for some reason. Either fisheye or spiderwebbing
for a couple hundred bucks you could get a used set of c5 or base c6 front brake kit and through that on until your wheels come in. your current wheels should clear without spacers

That wheel/tire combination is just the right size. It has somewhat of an Eleanor look to it. I'm stoked to see what wheels you get. I've always thought American Racing shelby cobra wheels would look good on a lot of cars, including the Camaro.

Hey Chris loving the vids! But I have a question on the z06 with the welds did you have them lug centric balanced? I have a set of weld beadlocks and skinnies in the front on my Z and getting bad vibrations at like 60mph. Also what psi did you run the skinnies at for the street? I don't believe u really chopped the finders 🤔 for some rims and tires 😰 I don't understand why you did that if you're not going to race the camaro. No need for big calibers! the rims and tires were okay that was a good color scheme the silver body with the silver rims or gray rims I wouldn't have changed anything. Those look like crap! Keep the ones you have on the car just please change the tires. They don't look good keep the ones you originally had on there. It's popping with them. Investor some battery maintainer for all your vehicles that way the batteries will stay charged. I love the SS badge 👍👍👍👍
I love that garage setup! I'm going to model mine after it - I see the work station in the back with the screens etc. I'm assuming the space is climate controlled?

The car looks outstanding Chris. I like the gloss black a LOT more 👍🏻 only thing I’d change is headlight position. I think they look a little too “bug eye” sitting forward a little too far. Brilliant choice for the fog lights. You know, they do make a headlight with a black background that I would also suggest you give a shot.
That car would look good with some black Rally Stripes on it IMO ...but outstanding build Chris.

I had a similar learning process on my Z06 rear spoiler that I painted. I think I sanded and painted that damn thing at least 6 times. It was painful, but I learned a lot. I also learned I should have just spent the money on the carbon fiber one like I ended up doing after 😂

Dang what happen with the Motive brake bleeder? Those things are usually solid, especially the aluminum cap ones.
Nothing wrong with the bleeder. Didn't have an attachment big enough for the wilwood master cylinder
