When end times prophesy refers to "Israel" it is referring to the church, the body of Christ, that's why it is said we put on the spirit of adoption, where we call God "ABBA". How can a righteous god, defend and protect a people who reject him. How does this make sense? This is why it says in prophesy every nation will turn against Israel, meaning every nation will turn against true believers, which coincides with Jesus end time prophesy when he says you will be hated by all people because of his name
