Padang Padang tests the barrel riding skills of surfers

Padang Padang, Bali: Filmed on May 28 & 29, 2024. With a SSW swell of 213 degrees and a moderate interval of 16 seconds, the barrel section of Padang was challenging for most surfers in the line up.

Thanks Scott. I could have put the drone lower and closer to the surfer but l was having some remote to drone disconnection and when it happens, the drone simply hovers in place. My fear was dropping the drone below the crest of the wave and it disconnecting which would be a disaster. As Clint Eastwood said in the movie "Dirty Harry", "you've gotta ask yourself one question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk"? I wasn't feeling too lucky on this shoot so played it safe.

A lot of surfers got clamped down on the end section of the barrel. You had to get a lot of speed in the barrel to make it out.
