There should be like a secret cut scene that gets unlocked, when players completely destroy bosses like that, where the main antagonists get completely shocked and terrified about what just happened to them and ask the main character how they were able to get this insane amount of power.
@@vspirit Or maybe it would be easier to pull this off as a spinoff game that would be decision based and where your fights and overall actions affected the story and the surroundings. The problem with this type of format is that everything becomes canon and therefore nothing ends up being canon. But if it's just a stand-alone title, that wouldn't be an issue. Or if they intended to do sequels of that game, they could use whatever most popular choices the players made as canon. Of course that would take longer to develop, but eventually they need to come up with new ideas anyway. And there haven't been that many other games who attempted that style of gameplay and most who did, didn't do it properly. Therefore I think this could be quite literally game-changing for the franchise, which has already one of the most alive feeling game enviroments.
@@vincentrodriguez3420 I agree with a standalone game to experiment new ideas on, or if they want to use it to evolve the franchise, then they should do it on a Yakuza title instead. I don't think they should take such a huge shift with Judgment because the storywriters need to keep the story tight and tell it the way they want to, since the issues the game covers reflect real world ones at large and it's supposed to be a social commentary on said issues. So if they did it wrong, it could tank the series and what it stands for, which is one of the main things it's being lauded for. That one, they are already on the right trajectory in improving gameplay mechanics based on feedback little by little. They shouldn't write the story based on what people think they want to see or make it so free that it has room for multiple endings, because based on the last two games, that's not what Judgment is built as a platform for.
@@vspirit I totally agree about keeping Judgment the way it is. Maybe I didn't phrase this properly before. But what I meant was if in the future they were to make another spinoff title, not a sequel to Judgment or the main series, but set in the same universe. That would give the producers endless choices to come up with something completely new. Otherwise they would be too restricted due to the previous events. For e.g. if they wanted to even just temporarily do some story arcs in a foreign country (which could happen since they're running out of uncovered Japanese cities), that would be pretty much impossible to do in an even remotley convincing way with the current protagonists. Although Yagami seems to be a fluent English speaker, he doesn't seem to have any relation to anything or anyone outside of JP. With an entirley new character, for example a Japanese guy living abroad and returning to Kamurocho, that would be a lot more plausible. And that wouldn't make them limited to English speaking countries either, which would be better to avoid anyway, since all those LA's and NYC's have been covered over and over again. A not so mainstream country/location would be ideal. And it wouldn't even be an issue if said country didn't have a high crime rate, since neither does Japan.
@@vincentrodriguez3420 Ahhhh yeah that sounds reeeeally good...although it would be more budget breaking because SEGA would have to send their devs abroad to do comprehensive research and recceing. Given the franchise isn't technically a AAA one, it's hard to see them going down that route unless they have designs on making a potential spinoff one. And even then it'd still be difficult without having a deep knowledge of the culture of the place they are basing the environment on. The environments of Yakuza and Judgment are only as fantastically detailed and accurate as they are because the devs know well their own culture and the places that spawn it, on top of doing further research into them. I'd say they could consider letting their American or European counterparts develop a spinoff title that's based outside of Japan with the JP team onboard provide guidance on the technical and mechanical aspects of things as well as to assist if they want to tie it back to JP, but then, afaik, all the games SEGA's developed themselves have always been done in JP by JP devs so I'm not sure how feasible it is for them to explore the option of a completely foreign development team. It's a nice thought, tho.

Lol. They'd need at least another 6 mths to animate those scenes. But sounds like it could be worth thinking as a DLC.
