That was fun. What a lot of Richards. The picture of the old lady gazing adoringly at the egg in the opening credits reminded me of Dave Allen teaching his grandmother to suck eggs. 'Little egg, look, Granny.' 'Ooh, little egg, little egg...'

That's an artist's impression of Jeanie McIntosh. Believe it or not he's taken twenty years off her.😁

Some of the information regarding the Church is wrong. Tower tours can not be booked. We haven't run tower tours since before Covid and the Church Council has not discussed restarting them- I know this as I am a longstanding member of the Church Council and was a tower tour guide. For anyone wishing to come and find out historical information, some of which is more interesting than the Shireburne Chapel, please come to our weekend celebrating the Crafts people who have worked in the Church and much research has been done for the weekend. Admittance is free (and no, we are not doing tower tours) and takes place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday24th of September from 11.00am till 4pm. Refreshments will be available.

Can't remember who told us about the 'Tower Tours' now, but thanks for the update. 👍

Thank you. I blame it on my pants being so old and worn thin.

Ralph the vicar may be the inspiration for the landmark movie Field of dreams, Build it and they will come. No Boggarts and a green painted little grey fergie tractor. I will not be filling the flask and cracking open a tin of spam to visit said village.

There might be some boggarts about, Graham. We'd never heard of the place before we stumbled across it. Who knows what hairy, paranormal creatures might lurk in its past?

Did you manage a peep at the lepers squint?

I didn't know there was one. I should have taken a closer look outside, but I was feeling very nauseous from Jeanie McIntosh's driving.

Is it true Cromwell's grandfather had a pet monkey that dragged the baby Oliver up to the roof top? Who was the jaunty chap in effigy who had his heels crossed, he looks like he could have been deeply into shenanigans.

He was Richard, son of Richard, grandfather of Richard, cousin of Richard, Richard and Richard...I'm guessing. (Wasn't the monkey from Murders in the Rue Mogue'?)
