Back in 2021 I babysitted this lovely little girl and helped her with her homework, she was six at the time.
She would always see me knit or crochet, so one day she asked me to make something for her. I said yes, and we got to work: we looked up pictures, decided between sweater or cardigan, knit or crochet, went together to the yarn store to get materials, and she was adamant she wanted "squares in different colors with hearts in them", so after much searching I found your video, which was so helpful! I made purple and pink granny squares, alternating colors and making some plain squares.
She wore that sweater so much! Her mom told me that she would show it off proudly at school.
Now I'm working on a different project and thought of your tutorial right away. Memories flooded in, I haven't seen the kid in so long and I miss her so much. I'm putting lots of love into my new project as I did with hers, and I'm sending you some extra love for helping me out to make a little girl happy

Jayda, I have recently purchased this pattern along with several others including the festive table runner, star in the centre, and the floral one. I purchased the Christmas tree chevron tree skirts several years ago and finally made it recently. It's absolutely gorgeous! I also have two more in my cart lol. I just want to let you know I absolutely love this pattern! I am making a young adult size for a special girl for her birthday in May. I have been very choosy about where I spend my money on patterns especially in this economy. The quality of your patterns can't be beat. I feel it's very important to continue to support small businesses when I'm able to. You're a very gifted and talented designer. And lastly, I need to have patterns that don't put a lot of stress on my hands and wrists due to psoriatic and osteoarthritis. I also had major surgery on my right wrist just over a year ago and it is about 95% fused. I know you can relate because I heard you say that you had RA in your hands. Some days it's very difficult. So thank you for writing patterns that are easy to do while looking very elegant ❤️💯💐

Thank you for this tutorial!! A BIG THANK YOU for the “How to Crochet a Granny Square-Beginners Tutorial & Basic Pattern” from 5 years ago. You put so much work into that video, I was in awe!! I learned to crochet from books, classes and friends. No internet back then...come to think of it....no cellphones either. Anywhooo, I could never crochet a granny square. I tried, but I didn’t get it. Lots of Amigurumi, but granny squares terrified me until I decided enough was enough. So I hunkered down, found your granny square tutorial and went for it. Because of your video from 5 years ago and lots of practice, I was able to do this beautiful granny in no time flat. Huge crochet hugs for everything you do. Thanks for the pattern! I’m just learning and made a couple of your heart squares to include in a patchwork style blanket. It’s great to have a different one to put in which is still has a ‘granny square cluster’ as I can attach them together easily. Also, I love your intros, my little boy loves stop motion and he was super excited (particularly by the intro to your tutorial on joining granny squares, it is so adorable). Thank you so much.
