- A moped rider is sought in a string of Bronx robberies that began over the summer, police said Monday. The suspect allegedly targeted food tucks and check-cashing locations throughout the borough.

Ebikes gives criminals easy access into neighborhoods, easy undetectable escape, and full anonymity. My neighborhood is relatively far from subways and most buses, it's always been really safe but these days low life criminals cruise my neighborhood in cheap ebikes looking to break into cars, houses and other properties. There's been a rape/break-in who escaped on one of these illegal ebikes as well. We used to have maybe 1 crime a year on our block, now with these ebikes we have one a week.
You’re confused, Ebikes give *everyone* more access and mobility, not just criminals. One of the ways your food delivery arrives so quickly
@@Tortilla.Reform don't get me started on those guys who ride up sidewalks endangering pedestrians, running red lights, speeding and crashing into cars. They set off speeding cameras as well as red light cameras with no worries. I had one run into my car causing a huge scratch and then speed off with nothing to identify him. He ran up the sidewalk then sped the other way. There's was no way I could catch him.

Actually, it is very likely. Listen to the date he stuck someone up (12/29). People received their SSI/SSD checks early due to the Holiday falling on a Sunday.
Not to mention regular working people getting paid before the Holiday weekend. Check cashing locations are well stocked with currency at the beginning of a month; these thieves clock this perfectly. Much easier than banks, as there usually isn't any armed security.
