Clicking the prog section for more presets is definitely a function a lot of people miss or are unaware of. Glad to see someone sharing that in a vid because it's not obvious to new users. Thanks
Great video dude. You should some videos based on the JSFX plugins. They work really well in Reaper because they are made with Reaper's own format. IMO Tukan and Saike plugins are 100% worth using, Tukan 1000% no doubt.
Thanks for this. However, I installed and older version of Calkwalk that I had downloaded a few years back. It did not show all the plugins yours do when installed. I updated to the newest Cakewalk version, same thing. Nothing in the DXi, etc. VX64 Vocal Strip is not there. I only show the VSTi SI instruments. The other Cakewalk VSTs shown in your video do not show up in my Reaper 7.22.
I would say make sure they are pointing in the right direction in Reaper I think it's in the Cakewalk folder when you search... Also to double check open Cakewalk and make sure you can see the vst and dxi in there if it does show up then it should work in Reaper just make sure it's looking in the correct folder hope this helps...😀🙏🏾
@@learningreaper Thanks for the response. I did have to edit the Reaper path and add (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\VstPlugins) to access the instruments that I can see. I just changed that path to (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk) and two others show up including the the vocal strip and I do have the TTS-1 from the old install. Still none of the DX and DXi. But That's ok. Edit: Just got this on the Reaper forum. Yep, I'm on 64 bit Reaper. --------------------------------------------------- "A VST plugin is not the same as a DXI. If I recall correctly, dx (also known as DirectX) plugins only work with 32 bit Reaper (at least, they stopped working for me when I switched to 64 bit Reaper sometime during version 5). DX is a windows-only plugin type that Microsoft has been trying to deprecate/obsolete for quite some time."
Shame about Windows only, but its the same thing as Logic. However, I can see why people love Cakewalk. And it was the first computer based sequencer I was exposed to in the early 90s. Oh well, it's not like I'm not with our DAWS. Ha
Yea I have no idea why they never did the Mac option they had a beta a while back when they were with Gibson but we all know how that turned out... 😂.. thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾
Is there any way to run those vst's in reaper even if I uninstall cakewalk? Cause thinking of the load on the CPU obviously many will not gonna have 2 daw at the same time in the pc. I copied all the data and files of the sI vst's and deleted cakewalk. But after that they don't run anymore in reaper.
You have to have Cakewalk installed on the computer you don't have to run it at all but will need the DAW due to when you uninstall it removes stuff out the registry in windows and the vsts will stop working... I hope that makes sense...😀🙏🏾

Yea I figured I would show all the features like you said a lot of people are not aware of what the vsts can do.... Thanks for the comment...😀🙏🏾

Those are coming down the line for sure...😀🙏🏾
If anyone has any old copy of Sonar, they should consider installing it, just for the plug-ins. It doesn't occupy much disk space.
Agreed 👍🏾
This is a good one. TY. Would like to see more vids on free vst's. Especially for voice overs.
What do mean voiceovers 🤔

@@learningreaper So, there isnt a folder in cakewalk where we can copy the vsts??
Yes but they are registered in the computer registration to Cakewalk once it goes so does the connection to the vsts... I hope that makes sense
