THE RECIPE
STRAWBERRY CAKE (Super Easy to Make - You can use any fruit you like instead of strawberries)
INGREDIENTS:
- 4.5 cups of flour
- 1 cup of sugar
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 cup of oil
- 3/4 cup of lukewarm milk
- 100 grams of yeast
- pinch of salt
- strawberries (I used almost a kilogram)
CRUMBLE:
- 50 grams of butter (cold, cut into small pieces)
- 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cups of sugar
Mix everything with your fingers
HOW TO MAKE THE CAKE:
1. Gradually crumble the yeast into the bottom of a wide bowl.
2. Then we sprinkle them with sugar.
3. Add beaten eggs, oil, lukewarm milk, flour and salt. Keep the ingredients in the same order. Add the ingredients in layers, evenly over the entire surface of the bowl (see the video on how I do it).
4. Cover the bowl with a linen cloth. leave it in a warm place and forget about the whole thing for three hours.
5. After this time, briefly mix the contents of the bowl. Line a 26x30 cm baking tray with baking paper and spread the dough evenly. Place strawberries on the cake. Place crumble on top of strawberries.
6. Bake for about 35 minutes in an oven preheated to 180 degrees (the cake rises very high).
7. Let it cool and enjoy!

The last three days here, in the middle of the desert and after a 40°C heat, have been all from rainy to slight showers to cloudy. That's very refreshing for us!
Oh my... 40°C... We have enough when it's 35°C. Yes, rain is good, but I do not like storms and thunder, as my older dog is scared of heavy rain and thunder... you will see it in my next vlog.

How do you protect them from ticks and fleas?
The only way I know. 1. Keep everything and everyone super clean. 2. Check them every day. 3. In the season they get protection against ticks and fleas. This is sufficient as they do not roam in areas where there are stray animals. They have never had fleas. Occasionally I find a dead tick after a long walk in the forest. This has not happened this year. Not yet.
