Well...this is definitively one of the first (if not THE first) real life off road steep/muddy/rocky trail test of the new Duster. The comparison with the Jimny (kudos to the driving skills of your friend that we remember from many such off road drives in the past years....the guy knows how to get most of his Suzuki 👌) ...so the comparison is not fair, definitively regarding tires but also the slow speed/high torque that Jumny has. BUT, on the overall, had you been testing your new Duster ALONE I think all of us would again stay impressed about the 4x4 capabilities...end, to my impression, it even behaves better than Duster2 in terms of all wheel drive engagement (with esc off, off course). All in all, even the last "ditch/skid plate test" showed how capable this new Duster is.....I am eagerly waiting on the report covering underbody and those strange "cloth protection sheets" that you impregnated earlier on.....in any case, very brave of you jumping right into the full 4x4 off roading....when compared with those official "pussy stile" demos from Spain (or Portugal?) that appeared couple of months ago - this is it 💪....not reckless but firm off road that most of us might get into, some rarely (like myself) others more on a regular basis......very, very good demonstrational video 😍

This and the previous video prove me wrong about thinking the new duster is underpowered. Looks good. The MT tyres of the Jimmny make the big difference in these conditions, not so much about the lockers. The computer seems to be doing a very good job on the duster to distribute the power properly.
This is brilliant. I had old Land Rover many years ago I know how hard it is. I like Dacia now this makes me really want but in uk it’s difficult to get one you know that with this you have total control on were you drive and have no problem..🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I have subscribed 😅 I need this for Italy
Well, the thing is that the Suzuki is a great off road vehicle… but thats about it. In the Duster you can drive in good comfort, and face some serious off road situations with it… As a hunter, I like the Duster for that very much… so much that I just bought my third one! … not because the other ones were broken or anything… but just the fact that I like to buy new models!😂👍🏻

Very impressive performance from the Duster, and it's probably pretty normal on the motorway, unlike any Jimny. Put some tape on the steering wheel for straight ahead. :-)

Bel video, sicuramente il blocco del differenziale elettrico sul jimny aiuta molto e soprattutto i pneumatici. La duster comunque si difende bene. Nel fango la duster scivola perché i pneumatici non girano alla stessa velocità e spingono in modo discontinuo e il pneumatico è lievemente tassellato, sicuramente un altro tipo avrebbe aiutato di più.
Does a modern AWD vehicle with brake-based torque transfer really need lockers? As long as you have traction on one wheel, a well designed AWD system will brake the slipping wheel and send all torque to the one not slipping. That money could be spent elsewhere for more gains (springs and shocks for more articulation and ground clearance for example).
the problem with the duster is that it has pretty much no grip because of the tires. If these cars changed tires then the duster would have nailed this test!
It goes well! How do you feel about power and its distribution around the wheels? Btw, last time I stacked in clay, the I cleaned my wheels two months and experienced pulsation on speed till I washed it out fully 😂
Salutare. Trebuie să ți cumperi din nou anvelope MT cum ai mai avut pe Dusterul 2. Atunci vom vedea diferențe mari. Îți recomand Yokohama Geolander MT. Se găsesc și pentru dimensiunea standard la Duster pe 16. Nu vei regreta alegerea

Bravo, superb genul asta de aventuri trebuie vazute cu noul duster. Prin parcari, sosele , mall-uri cred ca se descurca de minune. Cateva lucruri imi atrag atentia: - cuplul - clar era bune niste MT-uri. Dar cred ca si cu MT unele abordari trebuiau facute cu elan si turat motorul. Ma asteptam la un raspuns diferit al sistemului 4x4 adaptat noului motor. Imi pare ca nu prea ai marja de eroare la abordari ale pantelor la vedere ( fara sa stii ce urmeaza dupa colt). Trebuie sa fii constant turat sa treci mai departe. Poate ca este o chestie de adaptare la noul motor. -cum este t 25:31 reapta 1 ? La fel de scurta ? Sunt curios daca or aparea kit-uri de tunning pentru motor, diff blocabil pe spate. Acestea 2 or sa faca Duster-ul mai potent in offroad Spor la ture si teste in continuare :)
Engine is still horrible...😉But the obviously new AWD-software (hardware is still the same as far as I know) is absolutely great! I desperatly want it for my Duster II😵💫 Maybe somebody find a way to transform it? Locker: lockers are usually as important as an AWD / 4x4 drive, on the other hand I couldn´t see any situation where it would have been helpful in this video... 17:27 I hate this dangerous situations - one small mistake and you´re are done. The "sport" Discoverer tires are not really the best in mud. Guess the older ones (w/o "sport") would have worked better.

Poate mergea si varianta inversu, in marsarier cu spatele in fata, adica grautatea motorului in spate?

Inteleg ce faci tu aici, dar n-are treaba cu offroadul. Tu ai condus 90% pe un forestier, foarte bine amenajat de altfel, probabil exista si o exploatare forestiera. Nu departe de tine, in acelasi judet (granita Harghita, Suceava, Neamt) am fost sambata intr-o expedtie off. 2 Vitara, 1 Pajero, 1 Discover1. Ce crezi, 80 din drum am fost 4x2 in Pajero, tractiune spate, a cuplat greu doar la urcari abrupte. Pe forestiere, nu prea a lasat-o sub 50 la ora, de era sa-l pierdem pe unul cu Vitara. Care e diferenta? Toate masinile aveau kit de inaltare, toate masinile aveau snorkel, toate masinile aveau Simexuri. Ce faceti voi acolo e o jucarie. Pana si Jimmy nu mi se pare pregatit de off, blocantele alea sunt ok, dat un inseamna cu adevarat nimic fata de cauciucuri si garda la sol. Pajero avea blocant spate din fabrica si nu l-a folosit nici macar un moment. La coborarare de pe varful Budacu, istetul de pe Discovery a stiut el de o scurtatura, o ravena abrupta pe care se scurg torentii cand ploua. Am schimbat Pajero cu una dintre Vitara, infinit mai preparata decat jucaria aia de Jimny, si, mama am zis ca mor. AIA NU E O CALE PT VEHICULE, NICI MACAR MILITATRE. Cred ca am facut 1km intr-o ora sau chiar mai mult. De copacii de taiat cu drujba nu mai zic, ca nu i-am taiat eu, ca de cele mai multe ori nici nu aveam loc sa deschid usa. Daca Vitara aia nu avea praguri ranforsate, nu ajungea teafara jos. Am dat intr-un final intr-o forestiera de genul pe care ati mers si voi, care dadea in Glod (Suceava). Pai sa vezi 60 la ora in rahatul ala de suspensie de pe Vitara (aici Duster e boier). Intr-un cuvant, Duster e capabil pt ce se vrea a fi. Si in Bilbor (acolo de unde a inceput aventura) e plin de ele de cand au inceput sa aibe preturi bune la sh. Si 4×2 si 4×4. Ca poti sa mergi cu ele si la stana, si la nunta. Eu am avut primul Duster in Bilbor (si sunt din Bucuresti) in 2012. Dar si eu stiu ca reductorul, suspensia garda si cauciucurile fac diferenta. Iar viteza 1 de la diesel e orice, dar nu reductor.

The real issue on the duster is the choice of tyres that you have, it's very limited.
