(About the comment loving hearing the baby in the background) Me tooooo!! How sweet! Brings back memories of another life 38 years ago! My now 38 yr old “baby boy“ who’s now an awesome man, is having us move to a remote small town! I am going to need quite a few cards for friends that I am leaving but really want them to know how special they have been in my life! Of course I have no time right now to make them but perhaps these washi and die ideas will help make something special for them. I may even make them from a rental in the new town while we are looking for homes to buy and therefore will need to pack a limited amount of supplies to have during the transition period which will probably be from 6 months to more. Anyone’s ideas as to what that capsule of supplies should be are welcome! I am mostly making jj but some cards! Help!😳💕💕😊🙃

A small remote town 🤔, that sounds very interesting. I’m intrigued as to where and why. (I will apologize now for my being a little nosy 😊)
As far as a ‘Vital Supply Kit’ goes, it’s hard to say since we all craft so differently. But my thoughts are to take a moment and either sketch out or write down what you want your cards to look like. (Batch card making with 1 or 2 color palettes might be an idea) I hope my comment has been at least a little helpful. I have other ideas, but I don’t want to make a mile long comment 😊

I've become obsessed with the transparent tapes. I love that they don't really have a background and come in frames and foils and lots of awesome genres. Love these tips. They're so helpful. Enjoy your little one. Of course, I'm sure you've heard it before...they grow up so fast.

I’ve found out press plates foil wonderfully. Much better than the foil plates.
Chartpak makes metallic tape (gold & silver) as well as black and white in 1/16” & 1/8” widths. I use a LOT of the narrow tape to highlight and complement the wider tapes. It’s expensive but it goes a long way.

Thank you so much for the ideas. I never would have though of it. I wonder if I can use acrylic paint (heavy body) instead of embossing paste. I have a lot of acrylic paint.
@Justine Hovey • I love the tip about using small dies with Washi tape. For me, the small dies are always a problem of how to use them.
All the cards are great and inspiring. Is there any chance you could make each card its own chapter so we could go directly to the technique we want to practice? (I tend to get distracted when I rewatch a video.) Thanks!
Hi. Have you tried a shim or two when running your hot foil through the die cutter? You might find that helps get a better result

In some videos, after you stamp, I noticed you would rub a paste over it with your fingers. May i know what is it? It seems like its a transparent sealant of some sort. Goes on white but dries clear
Hi Anna, do you have an example of what you see? I don’t put any sealant. Do you maybe mean clear embossing powder?
